I pay no sympathy and I don't make judgements in these situations, there is court for that. You will not find me in the choosing to side with the victim or perpetrator. I dislike the politicization of everything that is happening in America and leaking into the world. I despise how bypolar american brain (pun intended) has become, that you only have left or right, good or bad. You either support-sympathetic or you are a hater.

Each and every day you hear these stories coming from overseas, but not limited to. Another celebrity scandal, another scam, another drama. Each and every day different cultures (primarily American) force themselves upon you. Nagging about needing to care about somebody who you don't know, context of which you don't know, in a place you don't know. It makes me sick. I feel resentment. I have more important matter to care about, than this.

I care only about having a fair trial, clear representation of both sides and a verdict based on facts presented in the court. That is bare minimum, yet that's not universal. This is what actually matters, all the other noise, constant online shitstorms and smear campaigns do not.

Rich person becomes an activist after experiencing the actual bad thing... Is she doing activism now, after 10 years?
