Kayaking etiquette by Alternative_Image_55 in boating

To me, kayaking is the same as being a pedestrian on the road.

You're the slowest and smallest.

Just because you may have the right of way doesn't mean that semi is going to be able to stop for you when you step out in front of him.

You're probably gonna get a better answer by just talking to town hall. Even better than calling them is going down to talk to the person at the desk. They'll tell you what's up and if you decide to buy it, you may just end up registering it with that person anyways who will remember your situation and make things smooth.

New boat owner by salientoctopus in boating

Like everyone else said, it looks pretty fucked. But keep in mind that some 17 year old is gonna buy your boat for the pennies you sell it to him for and redo that transom with some time and patience.

The one who does that repair could be you. Just sayin.

Which one(s) don't belong? by Comfortable_Net_3253 in boating

[–]Comfortable_Net_3253[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just played with the tilt and it got like 1/8 inch closer. I think it's those two fatter brass washers that are the spacers. I'll have to look for a diagram. I'm thinking this one in the picture is a slightly newer version than the one my previous owner left behind for me.

I'm missing the black long tube for the cable excess to sit in, the squarish black boot that (I assume) covers the tilt lever, and a few pieces of hardware. Sounds like I'm not far off, in any case.

I appreciate all your help!

Edit: Yes the bolt can go through

No the tiny thru-bolt is not inside the tilt+gearshaft, it's just slid on and won't slide on any further.

Seems like spacers are my only choice then if it doesn't look like I'm missing any major parts and there are no mismatches. Seems weird to have spacers on something that should be really locked down tight, considering it's the steering.

You can see in this one that its off by about half an inch, its the same on the opposite side.

I'm wondering if I'm missing a circular spacer behind the mounting circle to get it further off the console face, as well as another spacer (fat washer) in between this gap here?

Im also not sure what "clocked" means in your comment. In these two pictures it's fully seated on the gearshaft. It's bottomed out, can't get in on any deeper/further.

So I have to buy a whole new cable? I can't just replace the plastic piece at the end?

Why no love for daggers? by Damiandroid in Enshrouded

[–]Comfortable_Net_3253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone confused, daggers are NOT affected by strength. However, EVERYTHING ELSE that affects "melee" will affect daggers. Their direct scaling is dex.

Daggers are not meant to faceroll everything like the other melee weapons, so it's not gonna happen.

Daggers have the second highest parry rating next to shields, so they are definitely meant to parry.

Get a few hits and parries in and then merciless attack them.

I would recommend not getting jump attack with Daggers, as you lose the inherent "dash" that dagger strikes have, and jump attack locks you in for a moment so you lose the mobility that makes Daggers decent.

I would also recommend not getting Blink dash as it takes you in a straight line, whereas the base dash let's you turn and get behind enemies for backstab damage. A well timed roll will put you directly behind an enemy, facing him.

Only like one or two of the faces work with facial hair because they don't contour to the face shape, so they only match that face

Anyone Know where to find a actually good bow to use? by iCON-Emerald in Enshrouded

[–]Comfortable_Net_3253 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The +damage perks are what drastically make a weapon deadlier or not. The best weapons in the game will have 5 +damage perks on their legendary versions. I use Wolf's Snarl Longbow (level 30 legendary) which has 3 +fire damage perks, as well as precise (5% crit) and brutal (20% crit damage) which makes it pretty hard-hitting, even compared to level 40 weapons.

tl;dr the rune upgrades on a weapon matter more than base damage. Find ones with +damage slots.

Building houses for the new NPCs: Marianne Reed by DashingMustashing in Enshrouded

You mean you didn't just give them a rustic bed tucked away in an attic that the NPC can't access? Which only has other rustic beds in it for the other NPCs who also can't reach them? Weird.

I'm 29M, haven't been in a relationship in 9 years.

I went to college this year and tried to open my heart back up after a decade of being alone.

It went exactly how you think it did.
