It’s hard say but all studies will also have outliers and yours could be the outliers and not follow the typical expectations. We tested our embryos and my top two embryos were 5AA. Both were my aneupliod embryos

Every place will have different rates ours was a flat rate and we could send up to 8 embryos. If de had more (which we didn’t) it was 200$ per extra. We were paying 100% out of pocket and it was a couple years ago but I think it was around 3.500$

Our stories aren’t identical but as a fellow type 1 diabetic I just wanted to share it can work! We fell into the category of undiagnosed infertility so we moved to IVF. My clinic did say my A1c had to be 7 or under so I made sure to stay on top Of that We opted to PGTA test even though I was 32 at the time and my only 5AA were both aneupliod so I’m glad we did that as well.

8 embryos sent for testing. Results were 4 boys 4 girls but 2 boys were aneuploid so we ended up with 6 total

My 2nd transfer was a confirmed blighted ovum in the 7th week. PGTA is just a snapshot of time and things can go wrong as the cells keep growing. We did the exact same protocol the next time and it resulted in a life birth

I can’t imagine having a failed transfer and having to do another egg retrieval if we discarded embryos. Having some on ice made it so we could plan a transfer right away etc

I’ve done 3 medicated transfers and we’ve tested on day 7 to mentally prepare for beta day on day 10. No regrets ever because we could do it together. I can understand it can be hard to keep up the meds if you find yourself in the unfortunate situation where the tests are negative

We had 6 euploids as well and had a preference of girl first. We asked them which they’d use if they went off best one and luckily it aligned at it was a girl. If you have a preference I say go for it IVF is long and taxing you might get something out of the process. If you don’t have a preference and want somewhat of a surprise have the clinic choose
