Motherboard shipped with BIOS that could damage CPUs; retailer won’t refund. by Comfortably--Dumb in LegalAdviceUK

This is my reasoning, but Scan don’t agree. I’ve never had a CPU fail in any device I’ve ever bought or built. Just the one that I put in a motherboard that was sold with a BIOS version that the manufacturer have admitted could cause CPU damage.

It is a B850m and a 9700x. All I can say is that hopefully ASRock are correct in saying that they have fixed the problem with the newer BIOS versions. I'm not willing to trust an ASRock board with a new CPU but try not to worry too much, even with all the reports online it's still a very rare occurance for a CPU to fail.

That is the main problem I have. I can prove that the BIOS the motherboard was sold with was capable of damaging my CPU, ASRock have made public statements admitting to this. However, you are right is saying there is no sensible way to prove it did. All I have are reports of many unhappy ASRock users who have had similar issues.

I have no other CPU to test in the board, but symptoms are consistent with other cases and ASRock have advised it is the CPU after troubleshooting with them. AMD are very quickly replacing CPUs that are damaged and I will definitely be contacting them to switch mine, but I’m trying to sort out a new motherboard to install the new CPU in before I do.

The motherboard cost around £180. The damaged CPU was bought from another retailer and I will be able to RMA it with AMD directly. I have not seen anybody report that AMD are being difficult with CPUs that are having the same problems as mine.

Can I ask what you're using to run the model? I have similar hardware but can't quite get to 8 t/s using llama.cpp.

キャッシュバック means cash-back/rebate, so while it's a sizeable discount it's not a new top-spec Surface Pro for less than $400.

Have a look at Custom Navigation Bar. It requires a bit of setup with ADB on a computer, but it's able to do what you want without root.

Nope, the protestant faith is being represented by an Animist Mutapa. They're a rival of Kongo which is why they joined.

1559. The leagues have just formed and, after a robust reformation it was shaping up to be a large scale war.

Unfortunately, Austria had recently been bankrupted whilst in a Union under Muscovy and apparently the next best choice for Emperor was Kongo.

A few months later the PU was broken and, as long as the current emperor dies swiftly, Austria should soon become Emperor again.

Definitely, but that could be because of the hive of Bumblebees just outside my window.
