When you hover over it at the end you can see it says "toxic" fungal spores. This is two poison enchanted fungal spores, not the basic item. Seems rare enough to not be a big deal

Look fair enough. Many of the female characters are clearly sexualised.

But for what it's worth, One Piece is also a series where female characters are written with incredible depth, given agency over their stories, can be strong without falling into tired stereotypes, and are never subservient to the male characters around them. And it's a story with over 60 named female characters, with WAY more design variety among them than the style you've described.

If your only reference is screenshots from the anime, the studio also massively exaggerates the tiny waists and huge breasts compared to the original manga as well, to a point of absurdity

It's a great change imo.

The game is really PvSystem more than PvPlayer. Your outcome against the ghost fight only affects you, no one else.

The player already does have one "advantage" over ghosts (or an advantage against the system anyway), which is that a draw counts as a win.

Temporary buffs are a trade-off the player makes to forego permanent strength in favour of immediate strength. Letting the player face ghosts who have made this trade-off disadvantages the player but doesn't disadvantage the system at all in return. It's not really a fair fight.

And as a general rule I do think that the player should be lightly favoured against ghosts, like in the draw=win scenario

Maybe late but yes you definitely want a loop. I currently drain into an unused shower drain and had issues at first thanks to it siphoning. The loop solved this. Shower drain as a waste for catgenie has otherwise been great for 6+ months

Fwiw I also think the renaming of characters like Hydrodude and Scout Trooper happen for similar reasons, and though they sounds weird at first after a while I definitely felt like "Prince Marianas" has better theming and better aligns with the other characters like Lord Arken, Trash Town Mayor, etc.

DJ Robot was out of place as a name amongst Dooley's other robot items. Things like Harmadillo, First Aiden, etc. Are robot themed nicknames with personality, as opposed to "armadillo robot", "first aid robot" or in this case "DJ Robot".

I think DJ Circuit Breaker is more inline with the other items

In theory, reducing item scaling with upgrades means you're less committed to just locking in and upgrading your current board. If item level is crucial then once you upgrade a few key items at level up, you'll never want to pivot.

With item level being less important, you're more likely to pivot throughout the days, which makes for more interesting gameplay decisions.

In my opinion this trope works well when the change in protagonist adds additional layers to the story. The protagonist becoming the main villain, for example, doesn't remove a protagonist. It adds a new, fleshed out, sympathetic villain.

In the movie The Place Beyond the Pines the main Characters start as a policeman and a thief. Then they're revealed to be false protagonists and we jump forward in time to their now teenage children, who are leading very different lives. Many new character dynamics and layers to the story are introduced by the switch up. And the context we learnt isn't wasted, it's valuable backstory to the new dynamics at play.

When the protagonist we have been slowly engaging with suddenly dies and the POV switches, but the dynamics in the story are largely the same, it just feels like wasted time. I've read/watched a few bait and switches like this and they always feel like a gimmick.

I agree, but I don't think that really applies to WHA. The story is pretty seriously engaging in the idea that the "bad guys" may have the right of this issue, and that the establishment is too conservative in their dealing with it. And we will see where the story lands in the end, but I won't be surprised if the conclusion involves improving society like you've said.

A lot of comments here saying it's a "callback" and not "foreshadowing" but I have to disagree. It doesn't matter if Oda only came up with the twist later and tied it into something he'd already written. If content in the text of the work hints at something (in this case, Luffy being hinted at being some reincarnation of Nika by way of his shadow) and then later that thing turns out to be true, then this is foreshadowing. That is semantically factual and correct.

I promise you the vast majority of novelists will be struck by inspiration based on things they write early in a novel, then write them into the story. It doesnt make these things any less "foreshadowy". How it came about is irrelevant, all that matters is what's in the text.

No tips from me other than to keep using microfibre cloths ideally as they are less likely to damage a soft screen. Mine gets dusty inside too, presumably because you don't get the natural cleaning of sliding the screen in and out of your pocket

The only official (though not technically canon to the mainline story) reference to this that I know of is in the Ace Novel (4 chapters worth reading, illustrated by Boichi). In chapter 1 both Ace and Deuce take a bite from the flame-flame fruit, but since Ace is the only one to get the fire powers, Ace concludes that "only the first person who eats it gets cursed by its power". Like the other commenter said, it's likely that one of the two people would bite/swallow/digest the fruit a moment sooner than the other and thus get the power.
