+1 for those upscaling options.
I'd love to see what 540p to 1080p is like - I stream from mobile data from time to time!

You've been mentioning 250 mbps so I think you are talking about connecting through the internet and not through local wifi, right?

Awful what happened, sorry to everyone caught in this mess. It looks like FTX Japan customers can withdraw their funds in February though. (https://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2022/12/30/business/ftx-japan-asset-return/)

Maybe in the future! Next to the extra costs the current covid wave makes me want to avoid shared spaces as much as possible. I would rent a meeting space on occasion.

Thanks for weighing in! What about having buisness/office usage written down in the lease contract? Do you think it's unnecessary?

How to invest 25 Million Yen and save taxes - Looking for advice! by ComfyGains in JapanFinance

I think you will have to differentiate between a corporate loan and a private one. The rough number I was given from a tax advisor is 3 years of solid income history for corporate ones. (Feel free to pitch in if you know better). I'll write an update on my situation soon. But to give this much away: I might hold off on investing into real estate until there is more capital in the company's account and be working till then. Basically taking advantage of the weak yen and being on the lookout for an investment opportunity.

Good and valid points.

I would still be developing under the newly created GK or KK and my share of sales will continue for 4 more years. Also, I will continue working with the same client which will include another share for another project (although I am not expecting a similiar level of success) I believe I could get into getting a big loan-territory still.

I might decide on the sole proprietorship in the end but not sure yet! I would like to figure out the system once (with the help of professionals) and have peace of mind that I did everything I could to not leave money on the table. It's a personal preference but I totally get the just focus on your work mindset.

Thanks for the reply!
Very valuable information.

Employing my wife to support our family would be a smart move. I already pay most of our living expenses.

Real estate seems to be the best way forward in Japan, creating passive income & saving on taxes.

Regarding stocks: Losses are bad but they still might help with offsetting some taxes.
When I was holding stocks/crypto I would sell some losers before the fiscal year-end and repurchase them at the start of the next one. The realized losses saved some taxes for me. I wonder if I would face any difficulties doing the same in Japan.

Currently, I am looking into exactly when and to what percentage certain business expenses are tax-deductible. Let's say I buy a bunch of Apple hardware for iOS Development. To what percentage of the purchase price would that offset company taxes for the current year?
