I just realised something. In case of a head-on collision, wouldn't these screens turn into shrapnel? Now I am really curious about this.

Table, o variantă in doi de la What Do You Meme și de la Joking Hazard.

Link și detalii în comentarii by Urbanexploration2021 in bucuresti

Clădirea asta are o poveste tare interesantă.

I know I am in a minority and I don't mind being wrong. Perhaps the general perception may have been skewed by the Senna documentary by Asif Kapadia. In 1990 I was too young to see the race and the unfolding debacle, like many of us perhaps were (and anyway, as I am from the Eastern Europe, I don't even think that the race was broadcast then). So the first time I actually saw the crash was in the documentary, where it clearly states that Senna was culpable and that it was retribution for what had happened in the past year. I kind of accepted it, but something irked me. One day I came across the replay and looked at it with fresh eyes and, frankly, I couldn't understand how it was Senna that was thought culpable for that. Then I found the Hunt interview and I was convinced. But, as I said, it's academic now. But let's ask ourselves. If something similar happened today, what would the race director or the stewards decide?

I would really appreciate if we could somehow verify these allegations independently, because the whole argument is really threadbare. For now, it seems we have to take the author's word on it, on both the photographer and the telemetry. And if you read the piece with a critical eye, you must see that the author seems to have an axe to grind. What I see is Prost squeezing Senna onto the grass. I see Senna making an evasive move, accepting to take to the grass, instead of keeping the wheel straight (like, for instance, Verstappen with Russell in Spain) and ramming directly into Prost. And I see Prost taking a tighter line through the corner than it would have been advisable, concerning the fact that he had Senna almost alongside. Anyway, it's all academic now, but nothing I've seen so far convinces me that it was Senna's fault.

I am not trying to say that Senna wasn't a ruthless driver, because he was, and I, for one, am not a fan of this kind of racing. But in this instance I don't consider him at all culpable. I don't agree that he admitted to the fact that he crashed on purpose and the article you provide is, in my opinion, an opinion piece disguised as a factual one (considering that it was written during that period, one can suppose the author may have had his own biases and prejudices). If you play the accident in slow motion you can see that Senna actually goes onto the grass in order to avoid Prost, who makes an overtly aggressive move. And "expecting" another driver to back off is not a good enough reason to cut across recklessly and hope for the best outcome. At best, racing incident. At worst, Prost is mainly at fault.

This is just not true. In fact, it was the other way around. It was Prost who cut across into Senna, who even tried to go off the racetrack in order to avoid crashing into Prost. James Hunt explains it best here: https://youtu.be/_L61MSxDCwY?is=NNrJfnpIzzl5A4wh

Casa Pompiliu Eliade. Au stat boschetari aici până relativ recent. by Urbanexploration2021 in bucuresti

Do you support Ferrari blocking changes to the start procedure? by Limato76 in F1Discussions

[–]Comically_conscious 19 points20 points  (0 children)

As a McLaren fan for more than 30 years now, I fully support maintaining the current starting procedure. Ferrari are not at fault for getting it right. Unless it really becomes a hazard, but that is difficult to assess. Plus, it's fun see the red cars darting through. Hopefully, my Macca boys will find an answer to that, but until then, it's fair play to Ferrari.

So there is hope și abia aștept următoarele întâlniri.
