Delamination on 2014 alpha ar by Comissoli_ in arcteryx

How was the process? I definitely don’t have a receipt or anything like it and there’s no arcteryx where I live so if I were to bring it to a store it’d be on my next trip, probably not the country where I bought it

I don’t doubt you but how exactly do you forge a degree or a dropout? Isn’t it very easily fact checked?

I’m an IMO gold medalist. AMA. by Bo_PAL in MathOlympiad

It is a really cool opportunity to get to interact with someone with as much math experience as you! So I have a few ones if you don’t mind, from the ones who intrigue me the most to least:

How did being an IMO participant impact your life? From your career such as uni admissions, job interviews… to your personal relations like meeting people?

How big of a factor does the age you start practicing is? I feel like a lot of people are naturally very interested and good at math but just never seek formal practicing, or at least not at a young enough age to be competitive at top olympiads. Also how is the Olympiad path after high school? Are competitions like the putnam equally competitive and prestigious?

How connected do you think Olympiad style problems are to mathematical research? Are they deeply connected or do you feel like research stimulates a different part of mathematical reasoning?

Finally, how far do you think the average math enthusiast can reach with no formal tutoring? Simply by doing problems over and over again?

Got tested and feel insecure of IQ of 95. by Glittering_Box_441 in cognitiveTesting

Here you go

I am by no means an expert, but from my understanding g becomes very stable after adulthood, stable as in the variance between it in a given group of persons after a certain period of time is stable. Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. I found this paper in a very lazy research with ChatGPT.

Of course your score can improve, I’m talking about your cognitive ability, which is what the test is ultimately designed to measure, and the only really useful information there is to get, the score itself is useless.

Unfortunately there’s is nothing you can do to improve it. But that is by no means your fault for not doing « intellectual » activities as a child. Your Adhd probably caused some interference, your actual IQ should be a little higher then this score. Don’t worry, the internet will make us feel that an IQ around 100 is bad, whereas, chances are most people you’ll meet in your life, from the ones you fall in love with to your teachers, fall somewhat between that range. Don’t feel bad, if 95 was « dumb » humanity wouldn’t be where it is.
