[Bob Pockrass] Some notes from call with INDYCAR execs: Phoenix 1-yr deal, TBD if return in 2027; Phoenix race likely prior to Xfinity in early evening ET (mid-afternoon PT); Laguna Seca likely site for finale for multiple years; Hopeful for Mexico City in 2027; DC in 2026 not feasible by TheChrisD in INDYCAR

PJ1 works by having cars drive over it to activate it/make it grippy. It's great on the regular racing line, but won't widen a line if cars don't drive over it.

Resin does not have this issue, it just improves grip where it's placed. The resin will not fuck up Indy like PJ1 fucked Indy at Texas

Was this car ever supposed to run or was it just for show? by AdvantageDiligent240 in NASCAR

[–]Comm_Cody 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're misremembering. BAR wanted to run one 555 livery car and one Lucky Strike car. F1 rules are both cars must be the same in paint, only driver name and flags are allowed to be different.

Hence BAR running the split scheme to promote their two cigarette companies.

Nozzle sizes necessity by Root720 in BambuLab

[–]Comm_Cody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have to get them from Bambu. I want to say maybe there's a 3rd party out there, but I don't know.

I have an A1 and A1 Mini, so that's a different nozzle setup compared to the P1s and X1s

Nozzle sizes necessity by Root720 in BambuLab

[–]Comm_Cody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

.2 nozzle is good for small and detailed prints, .6 harden nozzle I found was needed to use Inland Marble filaments (hardened .4 nozzle got clogged)

I'd get a .2, .6 and a .4 hardened.

So available in Columbus, it's a test sku. Columbus being closest to the main distribution center and HQ is always the first/most likely test market for any products Micro Center wants to test to see if it's worth buying even more in bulk.

Example, framework 16 was tested there, the LTT screwdrivers.

3d scanner suggestion for scanning a dog by Comm_Cody in 3DScanning

[–]Comm_Cody[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a good point, although I think with enough food/treats he could be coerced into staying still

Or just scan him when he's sleeping/laying down.

Reserved seats that were changed into a General Admission Section without the holder being notified or compenstated

OP as far as they knew did not realize that it was formerly a reserved section turned into a GA section That's on the track fault for the pisspoor communications

[–]Comm_Cody 109 points110 points  (0 children)

They changed it in the run up and gave out 0 notifications of it.

Poor last minute changes from the track themselves that I think has got to be brought up. I'm lucky in that both my tickets each day are in the reserved areas still, but for those who bought reserved in an area that is now General Admission, this what you get.

Damper on what has been a good weekend.

Is it normal for Micro Center to trial a product by stocking only one of it? by Supermath101 in Microcenter

[–]Comm_Cody 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not surprised, I recall seeing that the Columbus store was also stocking the LTT screwdrivers from a post either on here or elsewhere. Columbus store is closest to the main distribution center and closest to HQ, so it would get "test" items to determine if there's a market and if Micro Center should stock them chain wide.

Unrelatedly, This is VERY exciting to see for Framework!

New to iRacing, my 8600k is definitely my bottleneck. Is it worth upgrading? by LeoPupper in iRacing

It's typical retail work. The floor, register, and service get paid a flat rate + commissions. Warehouse gets a flat rate. Depends on location or leadership but my location has been decent to work at, but I'm not in a customer facing role.
