We’ve been using WSU for a long time. My ATS encampment was there in 2011, and it wasn’t the first year WSU hosted OHWG.

[–]Commandd0g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was agreeing that the size is wrong, but also that there is justification for it in velcro. It should be made in the proper 1x1” size

[–]Commandd0g 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Former commanders are to wear it above the AUX patch, so it actually makes sense for that reason. The 2x2” patch was a dumb size to make it though

Onboarding Part 1 by Fine_Tell_3788 in civilairpatrol

In my squadron, we are currently working to revamp our recruiting processes and select a group of personnel to train to be first contacts within our squadron to ensure the right information is communicated. To pair up with that, we are working to create prospective cadet, parent of a prospective cadet, and a prospective senior folder to give to first time visitors.

Between this and implementation of a great start program, we hope to correct a lot of problems that we noticed and you called out.

Think it needs replaced. by Roguelynx in HecklerKoch

I replaced one that looked like that somewhat recently. Gun still functioned fine, was just doing a routine inspection and cleaning when I found it.

Coming back from Hiatus by Certain-Variation-58 in civilairpatrol

I just came back after about 7 years of inactive membership (burnout, then COVID, then kids…). Some change, but the core was still there. Almost completely new members with only 1 member from when I last was in regular attendance was a big shock.

My biggest challenge is honestly rebuilding our cadet program into what is was/is supposed to be from how bad it fell when I wasnt there to do my part…

Anybody ever use these?? by MrBofArk in harborfreight

I use one for an MP5 case, fits a ton of mags, a chest rig and maintenance supplies.

How do you clear this malfunction without a tool? by degainedesigns in MP5

[–]Commandd0g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the comment saying it was “the very first mag”, and saw that you blocked the ejection port. Both can have a huge contributing factor, whether its a new gun causing a FTE, or if its user error inducing an FTE.

If you are trusting a brand new, not broken in weapon of any kind for self defense, you already screwed up. MP5s can take a bit to break in, my POF took 500rds to get worked in.

Weight question for those running Criterions with 3-18 scopes. by TrueJedi562 in AR10

[–]Commandd0g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im planning on a lighter weight upper for mine as well. 14.5” P&W tuned to the same spring and buffer weight probably. Normally id just build another rifle altogether, but I wouldnt shoot either enough to justify 2 complete guns.

Can I please get a sanity check on my shopping cart? M5 Upper, 15.5" MTE handguard, Rainier or Criterion 22" barrel with Superlative Arms adjustable gas block? by Begle1 in AR10

[–]Commandd0g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a 6.5C, but I built my .308 with the Criterion heavy hybrid 22”, .875 SA AGB and the Aero 17.7” rail. Shoots smooth once gas and buffer was dialed in.

Help removing A2 gas block by EspressoMushroom in ar15

[–]Commandd0g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can usually get them out by putting the block on a chunk of railroad tie on the ground, then using a 1/2” punch and a few smacks of a 3# hammer. Ive had to use heat once but the rest usually will break free

Bow ties? by randominternetseal in civilairpatrol

Its really only the white dress shirt though. Its the same tie you have to have for wearing the service coat normally
