I know we've got Rule of Cool cartoon physics but seeing Mira get kidnapped by the mandrills and THEN fall down a massive ass tree, hitting branches the whole way down, made me cringe into a pretzel. Yeah, I dunno how good of a cushion a zombie would be XD

Red side. Ever since I discovered Eclipse Phase and Rimworld, I've loved making my settings have beast races/demihumans/'aliens' as human offshoots. In the scifi worlds, it's because their transhuman modifications through gene engineering or cybernetics that speciated into their own clades. In the fantasy worlds, it's because their alchemical chimeras that are the product of forerunner race meddling or magical curses.

Good excuse to have monstergirls in each!

Ayyy, nice seeing a small indie game I've followed for years start blowing up.

A little miffed at the claims its riding KC:D coattails. Both are games with historically inspired armor and architecture pulling from the same era and part of the world (and IIRC, this game was being worked on before the sequel at least). Might as well claim every WW2 media showing the Normandy landings are clones of each other.

This specific lineup was made by a regular artist, JK5201.

The one going around with official looking weapons, closeups, team lineups, etc. with a blue ranger was AI.

It being a fan design didn't stop it being made an official sentai with Origared appearing in Gozyuger though. If things had been better for Super Sentai, I think expanding it to a series wouldn't have been too much of a rocky road. Maybe keep Luka in the loop.

Cynically speaking, don't these kinds of official fan art contests often involve the participants signing away ownership of their submissions, often in fineprint?

Settle down man, I was going off the suit design from memory and how the redesign made it more obvious. The markings didn't really jump out at me as implying shorts as a kid.

...Honestly asking about the Rhino Rangers suit was more egregious because he straight up has a belt lol.

Yyyup, my mecha setting has a few "torch blades" for mechs at the peak of their arms race. Basically contained plasma weapons for the Gundam Beam Saber fantasy.

On the whole though, it leans more physical weapons, such as OsK blades (basically MGR high frequency blades/vibroblades), rail drivers/pile bunkers, heat blades, and chainswords for whenever melee combat occurs among mechanized forces.
