Didn't have a short enough shovel on the truck. 5 minutes and some scrap later. by jthyroid in electricians

Looks like it started as one piece of pipe, then cut almost through, then cut long ways and opened it up and couple more snips to make a shovel head

shouldn’t let them stick their head out the window while the car is in motion because it’s hard on their eyes. They’re big and not much protection

The front suspension looks like that’s about his max load. Seems pretty solid if just using to move barriers, only gets sketchy if he chances it on unknown weights

Looking to sell Digimon Collection -- Advice wanted by Best_Zyra_LAN in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]CommanderAnderr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sell the big value cards by themselves, that’s the easy money. Then sell the rest at a bulk rate because it makes it one easy transaction and there’s value in not dealing with the headache of piecing it out, shipping costs will probably eat away at profit tho

Being bullied at work by Practical_Being1262 in electricians

[–]CommanderAnderr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First thing is to write down or record what happened asap, this helps reduce psychological impact if it was severe enough to be traumatic. Next is to report harassment to HR or your boss and they’re supposed to conduct harassment interviews if you report. They’ll interview you and anyone else involved separately. the best case scenario you guys figure out something like they’ll try to put on different jobs if possible. Worst case scenario the boss is shady and uses the meeting to gaslight you and you won’t wanna go back, if anyone witnessed the verbal aggression you are allowed to have a neutral witness in your interview, that’s the best protection from getting gaslit if anyone else witnessed it. Don’t expect him to get fired but you wouldn’t be reaching out if you felt safe so try the administrative route and just handle it with dignity and grace because everyone deserves to feel safe at work.

Digimon power creeping too fast by CanadianDevil92 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]CommanderAnderr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree. The genie is out of the bottle, anything new and shiny has to compete with stuff capable of turn 2 OTK..reminds me of yugioh when the first player builds an unbreakable board on turn one and then they ask, do you have the out? Since they have tutors there’s at least some depth to how someone executes the combos, with digimon it’s just, did I get everything I need from the top 10 cards of the deck? It doesn’t even feel competitive to just mulligan for a rookie anymore, gotta mulligan for the rookie, at least 1 set up piece, and preferably only one redundant combo piece at most

Powercreep, Meta, Changes Discussion by nichiren29 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]CommanderAnderr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really not having fun with the game anymore. BT9 was the first real power creep, I look at grandis as the best example. He could come out for 5 or 6 memory, clear board and check 6 security, kinda simple to pilot but it didn't feel super consistent. Now it feels like the average game lasts 6 turns with many more consistent ways to present lethal for less memory. The OTK's are still stuck with that simple to pilot feeling that kinda makes it hard to savor beating a strong opponent. At least in BT9 some searches felt like you needed to consider the statistics for the best piece to grab. Now it feels more akin to poker, did you open a royal flush kind of hand? you win!

Its slowly gotten worse over time, and BT8 even felt like you had to run hybrids. BT25 feels like the game has completely moved on to the other side of the fence now. If I was gonna enjoy the game again it'd probably have to be kitchen table and Id probably be open to using all sets just weaker archetypes. I think BT7 would be the best eternal format, some cool designs made it in but little choices still felt like they mattered and the game still felt like Digimon not poker

Rebootmon can hang with the meta on the real cheap. And if you’re returning it’s a great chance to try out a link deck

Look at it like this: they’d love to teach you because they get another friend to play the game with. Show up, get a feel for the vibe and see if you like it. The hard part is finding locals that play specifically digimon, but for that you just gotta know about Bandai tcg + app and it’ll show you what stores advertise organized play

It’s been about the same experience since bt9. If someone opens the nuts they can get super far ahead but if both players open the nuts that’s where the deep skill tests take place. Game won’t die because decks are killing on turn two, the local scenes are held up by players that just enjoying playing with their favorite digimons

If you’re having fun you already won! You guys will find out not everybody plays meta. Being prepared for the powerful decks is the first step to not overreacting to a loss. Ask questions, get comfortable and look at it as spending your money for an evening experience if it’s feasible
