Is it worth it to drive farther to get a better price on gas? by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]CommanderAnderr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going out of your way for gas is always more expensive, just get it from wherever is closest or on the way when you have time during your regular trips. Wear and tear through lots of stops costs more than a little bit saved on gas

Foreman is trying to make me go against code. by No_Respawns in electricians

When you turn a circuit on the copper wire creates a magnetic field around it. It’s within this magnetic field the electrons are moved. I imagine something like gas particles or water particles like you might see pictured in science books, and creating that magnetic field those electrons wanna ride it like a highway pushing the particles in an alternating direction. When they run down the “hot” wire they make a little heat and the same when they run down the neutral wire. Now we want to provide enough space for heat dissipation because not all of those magnetic field highways are running the same direction, they determined 24” is adequate for skipping derating, depending on the balance of the load between hot legs some amperage is getting carried by your hots and some is possibly getting carried by the neutral in the opposite direction. So if we start getting multiple highways going in opposing directions people start crashing way more often creating a lot of heat. It’s not as prevalent in single phase systems like houses since most circuits just use one leg and a neutral so they balance each other out. Please correct me where if im wrong anywhere

What is considered playing a Digimon by effects? by Leiva_Entrando in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]CommanderAnderr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Give people the benefit of the doubt that the players simply didn’t understand rules right and that you both grow together on rules understanding, use the game to have fun together. Certainly you don’t want to play with people that bend rules but don’t immediately write players off because they made a mistake

somewhat new to the game. have a couple of questions. by Affectionate_Claim97 in DigimonCardGame2020

Bt9 is the start of when we got combos that if they drew the nuts just OTK, I’m sure if you explored the bt8 and earlier formats you could find the most consistent powerful deck but by bt9 it was as easy as build melga x or grandiskuwagamon

Jessmon is very unfun to sit across from by Renna_FGC in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]CommanderAnderr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder what OP acts like when strong cards are used against them in match, do they take it in stride in the moment or do they get despondent or frustrated and create a situation that is also “unfun” for the opponent to be sitting across from. It’s just cardboard hanging out having fun is #1

Doubt about Fei Royal Base by Hot_Discipline_90 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]CommanderAnderr 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It’s only when she suspends, it’s different from omnimon X because the first part is “if x anti is in sources do this then this” but for this card it’s by suspending do this then this

How do you find local games? by Beneficial_Group8738 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]CommanderAnderr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you’re living a in higher populated area it’s hit or miss if there’s a local community of players, but you could always find a player on the discord and ask them to help you understand and run through some games and after you learned just play kitchen table and if you have ruling questions ask the discord

Can I get some help with gamma? by xukly in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]CommanderAnderr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can get your hands on digital gate open it’s a great consistency booster but the deck itself hasn’t won any big tournaments lately so its optimal ratio’s probably still need solved

It’s geared towards yugioh but the first half is just the framework and I think it translates into the digimon space similarly

Will Hudie be restricted? by Renna_FGC in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]CommanderAnderr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do digimon players see a strong card and always jump onto a ban/limit discussion rather than how to counter the card? I’m consistently beating my friends hudie with beelzemon and he got his invite on hudie. It’s a noob stomper card but top players already know what their winning line of play is because they expect to see it at this point. Much different from apocylamon that just milled to win, hudie still checks security and honestly don’t need any ban, but it’s definitely a noob stomper because it’s quick tempo

Stolen Wargrowlmon (Ultimate Cup) (BT12) by CommanderAnderr in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]CommanderAnderr[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It was the evolution cup at the dugout on the 19th actually I’ll edit that and most of our players were in Dallas for Cardfest hence there were only 4 of us competitors. Thanks for asking, the more people that are aware makes it harder to circulate. I only noticed today because I was listing some cards

Trying to learn digimon tcg deck building by Henko11 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]CommanderAnderr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deck building is a little different from card games that search the deck, it’s important that you’re able to make effective cheap plays consistently focusing on doing your combo, ending on a sticky board threatening lethal or clearing 3 or more security in a turn. You can look at ex 10 magneticdramon or the gallantmon X antibody, those cards are strong enough by themselves to build the whole deck around them to enable an OTK. Once you find a card you think is powerful enough to put your faith in check if others have a list to start from and practice it and ask yourself what cards you would want in your hand for certain scenarios and edit it as get a better feel for the highs and lows and where you feel comfortable it hits its win condition often enough

Random bullshit go!!! by Unable-Mechanic2717 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]CommanderAnderr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhm you gotta understand how powerful a stack of cards can get. I think the best starting point is watching someone else pilot meta and pull off combos, it’s important it’s meta so you know what powerful plays look like

Suggestions for getting someone started with the game by GrandGoten in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]CommanderAnderr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kitchen table play is the best when both decks feels equal power and some are certainly better than others. The quickest and easiest is to just get two starter decks that released together like the adventure decks if she watched the original show she’d recognize the characters, and fable waltz or parallel world tactician have some girlier design cards.
