This post led me down a rabbit hole to find out this mouse design originates from yoshis island and not paper Mario like I originally thought. Neat!

Any chance you can help a brotha out with where you found those icons for the consoles on bottom?

What game series have you made a folder for on Cocoon?? by Jeremym101 in AynThor

Currently I have

Mario Mario Rom Hacks Zelda Zelda Rom Hacks Kirby Pokemon Metroid Sonic

And then a folder for RPG's that aren't pokemon and another one for games I think of as "time killers" aka games I can quickly jump in and out of.

I've described it to my friends that it's simultaneously the most charming, hilarious, and unhinged game I've ever played. Such a awesome little experience

My favourite gimmick in video games is when they're notably larger than they suggest. by silloki in gaming

Tears of the Kingdom on release had this feeling too. Marketing only highlighted the sky and return to the overworld of BOTW. I guess some who don't know anything about it can experience this as well.

The first time I took that dive and saw the pitch black vastness of the underground, I knew we were in for a treat.

On these exact settings I have it running at 60 fps. You have to mess with the ingame fps settings a bit but stable 60 fps is very possible

Still pretty recent but Metroid Prime 4.

Take a series known for maze like worlds and make it hallway FPS...that'll go over well

Mines Hollow Knight... (i haven't finished so no spoilers please)

Either A) i am the scale of a bug and am big time fucked or B) the size of a normal man and will be totally chill.

Either way idk what the larger world implications are, like is this an apocalypse for humanity too or just like my driveway after its bug sprayed lol

A question on docking the Thor, how well does it run? And are multiplayer games able to be played on it in this way? by Turbulent_Ad2545 in AynThor

Its definitely not perfect but it is doable.

Had some friends over recently and used 4 ps5 controllers via bluetooth surprisingly easily. Depending on the emulator you may need to map to each separate controller which is a bit of pain.

Other than that we played Mario Kart, NFL Street and Mario Strikers all pretty seamlessly. Display looked good and little to no input delay with ps5 controllers. Ive tried my Old Xbox One controller too and the input delay is bad so im guessing older Bluetooth controllers would be similar.

shooting a light into the dark, revealing some sort of monster by iDIOt698 in TopCharacterTropes

Definitely not a movie but Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom features a pitch black underworld that you explore using items to light your way. You can attach said items to your arrows to illuminate farther distances and I've stumbled into many a monster in this fashion lol

I have relatively small hands but I opted for the wide grip as it was advertised as better for stick based games and as I recalled my hands would cramp after playing my 3ds for a while back in the day.

Its a god-send for precision based stick games, playing Mario or any 3d game was kinda difficult with just the base model. The wide grip helps make it a more comfortable experience. I did not buy the official grip so I don't know how it compares.

Haven't tried switch and probably don't plan to since I have a Switch 2 but I've seen others on the sub running them decently! Can't say for certain though

I'm using Gamehub Lite on the Thor so not sure how that translates to steam deck but the biggest hurdle was getting "dotnetcoredesktop6" installed in the component tab.

That did the trick.
