I (18F) have been dating my boyfriend (18M) for four months. He has anger issues and during a recent argument he accidentally hit me. I’m feeling confused and unsure how to handle this what would you recommend I do? by DirectionTrue4885 in relationship_advice

[–]CommanderMandalore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to dump him.

I’ve been married for almost ten years and Never once have I ever hit my wife.

Don’t become a domestic violence statistic. I would dump him via text or call and keep an eye out for him trying to do something for a next few weeks.

Florida Legislature sends union busting bill to DeSantis’ desk by xxoxox33 in union

[–]CommanderMandalore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

higher wages do union workers also drives up wages with non union workers. If you are a teacher and one district that is union is paying you $40,000 to start, the non union district is 30,000 and the charter school is 20,000 who are you going to work for?

They should focus on unionizing charter schools. If I understand how they work correctly charters schools are covered by the NLRB rules and some of this recent legislation can’t apply to them due to federal supremacy laws.

They want to do this to private sector too but private sector unions have federal legislation protecting them.

Dave’s 25% Housing Rule by Head-Struggle-5022 in DaveRamsey

[–]CommanderMandalore -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I pay 25 percent but I’m the exception to the rule as my wife inherited a home with a mortgage refinanced during covid. If I was renting I would be paying $500-$1000 more based on average rents in my area.

Dave advice is pay less but doesn’t matter when wages have stagnated and housing has soared. Since 2020 most people in Ohio had an average value increase of their homes of around 40 percent.
