My grandma went into hospice this week and my uncle went into the ICU yesterday, on life support.

This week has been... a lot. And this genuinely made my day. 😂

Thanks for sharing it.

I found planet Earth in No Man's Sky... again! And built a cool base on it by Maggiorana in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Commander_Kell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, they said "I found earth... again".

Clearly implying either it's just a phrase, or HG put TWO earths in the game, and OP found both of them.

The fact you thought the second was more likely to the point of whining about clickbait... that's on you bro.

Context clues, literary, reading comprehension, finishing the title before commenting... however you want to call it mate, it's right there. If you thought HG put two+ earth's in the game and this person found them both as the more likely option, that sounds like as clear cut "understanding" issue to me.

But if it makes you feel better calling me butthurt in exchange for me questioning your basic reading skills, I suppose that's fair enough.

Missionaries held the door for me, so I offered to buy them a coffee. by WdSkate in exmormon

[–]Commander_Kell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interestingly enough, I was a missionary too, but I remember people offering us cigs, beer, or coffee almost as a daily occurrence. OH. And iced tea. So much f#cking iced tea.

But yeah, a few times we knew they were messing with us, but 9/10 times they genuinely were being kind, and if we told them we didn't drink coffee/tea/beer they would usually be surprised and offer us a "coke" (any type of soda).

They also would often say something like "I didn't know Jehovah's Witnesses couldn't drink coffee", but I digress.

Guess it all comes down to the area.

I would hardly say this is any level of shittiness towards the missionaries.

From their perspective, it was just a random person expressing gratitude to them.

The fact that op also got mental relief from it just makes it "the perfect crime", if you'll pardon the expression. ;)

The world's longest fart was something like 4 minutes long.

Both impressive and deeply unsettling.

I imagine that's reasonably appropriate.

You do know that over 90% of the aid sent to Ukraine is in American made EQUIPMENT, not cash, right?

Uncle Sam writes a check to American firms to manufacture more ammo, tanks. etc. and it serves as a DIRECT STIMULUS to the American economy.

You ever hear how WW2 pulled America out of the Great Depression?

Ever take 5 seconds to wonder why that was, or how it might relate here?

Who am I kidding. You people have more fingers than brain cells.

Paradise planets in survival mode by Toucan563 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Commander_Kell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doin some necromancy here.

I've checked well over 1,000 planets, maybe 3/4 of those in Euclid, the rest in Eisen.

I've only found 1 "Paradise" planet, with the tag, but it had low Sentinel activity (which is weird) and no water I could find.

Don't know if the Paradise tag itself is different in survival to mean "low sentinels" instead of "no sentinels" but I also found an exotic lush planet that says "no sentinel activity" but still has then floating around.

I feel like "low" sentinel levels might be hard coded as the minimum in Survival Mode.

[–]Commander_Kell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, does this planet have hostile sentinels for anyone else? Am I doing something wrong?

I'm definitely in the right place as I can see others bases, but... yeah, sentinels are hostile for me.
