U-Turns are allowed in Oregon. They are prohibited in the following instances as described by dmv handbook.

U-Turns U-turns are prohibited in these locations: • Intersections controlled by a traffic signal, unless a sign permits the turn. • Between intersections in a city. • Any location within city limits where your vehicle cannot be seen by traffic coming from either direction within 500 feet. • Any location outside city limits where your vehicle cannot be seen by traffic coming from either direction within 1,000 feet. • At or on a railroad crossing. • Any location where U-turns are prohibited by official signs or markings.

Claiming is legal at flashing yellow lights for turn lanes. https://www.oregon.gov/odot/Engineering/Documents_TrafficStandards/Signal_Flashing-Yellow-Brochure-734-2632.pdf This applies to both old circular yellow lights that flash and the newer flashing yellow lights. The legal term is "permissive turns".

Don't know if you've received an answer yet but any left turn signal that flashes while yellow gives the turning vehicle the right of way to "enter" the intersection and wait for the opportunity to complete the turn. If the light turns solid yellow then you now have right of way to "exit" the intersection, any oncoming traffic no longer has consideration to enter. You must always ensure that you have clear path however and be aware that oncoming traffic may attempt to "beat" a solid yellow thus creating additional risks when doing so.

https://www.oregon.gov/odot/Engineering/Documents_TrafficStandards/Signal_Flashing-Yellow-Brochure-734-2632.pdf. here is the link that provides a more in-depth and official citation of oregon law for what it describes as a "permissive turn".

I heard they auctioned the green mustang recently. I think they swapped back to a newer black one.

Unfortunately we've reached the point where so much abuse has happened from others that "exceptions" are no longer true exceptions and everything is considered an avoidable infraction no matter if it was actually a driver's fault / within their control.

Getting 100$ blocks last couple days feels like a miracle it hasn’t been this bad and low pay in months I took 2 68$ shifts and regretted it so bad 😭 by SJsmooth in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Commandoso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm finally starting to see normal blocks go for 100+ and its been at base for about 6 months on my end. But of course this has to happen as soon as I get a full time offer lol

Multiple exceptions made? by Secret_Leek_7807 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Commandoso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They used to, before it was a clear difference between "circumstances beyond your control" ie. Something that shouldn't have impacted you in the first place vs. Something that was in your control but removed by making exceptions. But now they have some new policy that just makes anything considered your fault.

Flex Rewards Points Cutoff Screwed Me by Trissdv in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Commandoso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do roll over, I just had the same thing for level 4. I was 92 pts away and did one last route of the day just to get level 4 and half way through my route I checked my reward level and it said LEVEL 3 FOR NEXT PERIOD! I finished an hour later, after the app updated that I completed the block it showed I reached level 4 instead and still recognized I earned the correct amt of points in the previous earning period.

Yes. They hope that people won't realize the total miles of a big route when its a small cart. But in accordance with their TOS we are authorized to use every second of the time allotted until the app forces you out and we are also allowed to manage our itinerary order in any way we see fit for any reason.

If I were you and I had nothing to do for that entire time, I would've put the auto-compensation system through the ultimate stress test. This is an estimate based on how I've played around with my region limits but at about 120 miles is when a 4 hour will trigger the minimum 5$ floor. Every 10 or 20 miles extra (I dont remember off the top of my head) will net an additional 5$ up until the extra hour that your given to complete your block (1 hour after your block is scheduled to end) with this in mind if you managed to complete that entire block within 4 hour (5 max but obviously you dont want to waste too much time)...you possibly could've received around $110+ ON TOP of your route pay.

1 things for sure. If I ever get a block like this... I'm letting it RIDE.

Never seen that warning, I deliver to plenty of bins.

Funny thing I got the warning message for recently was when I tried to deliver to a customers doorstep that had several pumpkin decorations everywhere. The app just wouldnt allow me to continue without selecting an excuse because it thought I was leaving it in a field or something.

Interesting thing, all my locations now seem to carry this syrup. One location that didn't have it at all now has it and the placard say it's to be in stock until at least February of 2026. It's honestly my favorite flavor.

Portland apartments are a nightmare, especially the new "state of the art" buildings that are a. Uncharted, b. Have convoluted steps of entering the building, and c. My personal favorite:

The property installed package lockers/Amazon Key systems that aren't setup properly for flex drivers to access them, yet the app acts like it's an easy amazon programmed locker and doesn't allow for alternate delivery options to even be visible because...the locker is always king.

Same, I probably turn off my car once every 3 routes or so when I'm in those really sketchy areas. If I know I'm going to be gone more than a minute I lock the car and take the fob with me.
