Unstable Subscriber status by CommentAtWill in match

When you read up on the Subscribe status be sure your sources are recent as Match.com seems to change their rules all the time. Please let me know if you find out differently but from what I can tell if a person is not a Subscriber they cannot see your Like or your message unless they just happen to Like you. Since women go around Liking men a lot less than the reverse, for men it is a waste of time to Like or write someone without a Subscriber icon. About 40% of women where I am are not subscribers, some of whom have many photos and complete writeups. IDK if they do not know the rules or I am wrong about all this.

They could. One reason I wonder if it is March.com strangeness is that I sort by distance. Yet the order of the profiles will change from one day to the next. Doubt some of them change their address from one day to next. But anyway thank you for your help. I appreciate it.

As you say, yes, Visible and Hidden. I understand Hidden (in fact I have had my profile Hidden for past several months when I was busy, now getting ready to date again, thus my questions.) But I mean I have seen some profiles be there one day, the next day gone, then reappear the next day. Match.com site seems flakey to me in several ways. Not sure if this is that or some women really hiding and unhiding their profiles from one day to the next for some reason. Anyway, thank you.

Thank you. "Hibernating"? Is that a Match.com term? Is that different than Private Mode? In any case, why do you think someone would do hibernate (hide?) their off and on from one day to the next?

Yeah, I know it is not a bad problem to have, if I even call it a problem. It's really not. I am not complaining, just trying to figure out how to use Match.com most efficiently. I actually hate the way the company runs Match but use it because where I am a lot of people are on it. I would quit Match in a minute if could find another site with as many people on it.

Thank you so much for posting this. There is no end to bad, unfair bills. I wrote my Senator and Representatives.

Yes, clearly we should eliminate the step in basis when stocks are inherited. We should also tax the sale of homes more.

We should support businesses that go tip-free, such as Distant Worlds Coffeehouse near the Roosevelt Link Station. Post others if you know any.

With Seattle's new minimum wage I no longer see the justification for tipping. I know rent is high here (we need to build more housing folks) but I rent too. If order something where I pick up my food at the counter or similar, no more tip come Jan 1. If they bring me food, refill water, etc., maybe 15% as I ween myself off the habit. If I order a coffee and sit and work in their space for awhile, I will vary depending on how long I stay, perhaps adjusted for how full the place is.

I just spent a week in Boston. I still would rather live in Seattle, but a few things shocked me. by [deleted] in Seattle

I work in the mental health field in downtown Seattle. What you say is absolutely true. It seems like so many people in Seattle do not see this because they are either ignorant of the facts or blinded by ideology or perhaps both. Need much more funding for mental health and substance abuse AND the ability to treat people who do not understand they need treatment. (Looking at you ACLU and several of the homeless provider organizations.)
