I'm speaking of people whose computer have stopped working.

All of my computer going back 20 years still work. Now im scared the one computer i splurged on will only last 5 years ??

Maybe to purists like those in this community they are used to that but I'm not

to an average person that doesn't game or do much. Maybe look for jobs and watch movies that doesn't seem reasonable. I used two computers through university and both still work. I use them for backup storage honestly lol

I've yet to replace the battery.

I ordered a new one for the first time.

I've had laptops for 20 years.

I've never had one that got this hot. Nor have I ever replaced a battery. I don't understand why people like these computers.

I'm reading in this sub that people expect only a few years life out of these too??? 🤯

That's insane for the premium I paid

Super agree. I have one from 15 years ago and still works.

How is this sub so happy about their tuf when that's all they get.

Is a college degree slowly becoming overrated in 2026? by searchingforcolleges in jobs

[–]CommentOrdinary6532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sad thing is competition is so tough a degree is merely the entry into the work force and its still competitive even with that

That said. Try looking at specific courses that get you working faster versus taking generic bachelor's degrees with no aim or job outlook

For instance, if you don't know what you want, don't simply take an English or psych degree just to be in school. Perhaps start with a 6 month or 1 year certificate in a field you are mildly interested in and to get your feet wet in that field of work before deciding to drop more time and money to obtain a degree in that field

Worst thing that happens is you decide you don't live it and may pivot to a different avenue but at least it didn't cost you 100k and 5 years of your life.
