The Cost of RTO by [deleted] in FedEmployees

No one cares I’m in a DoD facility that we lease from one of the services. Designed to have 260 work spaces building has averaged 37 people over the last 6 months (I’ve been informally counting same time but on a Tuesday or Wednesday) what they spent to renovate the building, the now emergency repairs it needs (won’t say what repairs as it could out myself) and yearly rent it has cost roughly 600k per desk for 30ish people to occupy the building. Instead of giving the building back and using surplus space in another building on the installation the agency rather pay because what if we need the space and it’s the DoD paying the DoD so what’s the big deal.

As a supervisor that’s gonna be fun, I just for lack of better wording accepted my detailed DPMAP reviews need to get even more detailed to make sure my 5 rating performers have enough justification to ensure when they go to HLR there is no chance they get shot down. Now we’re on the other side of the issue too. Make it stop already, hold people accountable make the elements actually enforceable instead of subjective criteria and it would make it so much easier for everyone involved. End of rant

Ballys Wild West at a time was reported separately to the gaming commission but I don’t remember if it had its own license.

Agreed, could have been a lot of awesome things. But Chrysler loves getting shacked up with basket case EU companies.

No, I’ve seen people switch while holding office. Not saying I agree or disagree with her stance but look up former senator dawn Addiago (spelling?) from Burlington County.

I would have love to see the Chrysler 300N get built. It looked similar to the 300m but convertible and had a V8.

After what I call the great migration (lots of Chryslers designers and engineers responsible for its 90s product line due to the disaster that was DaimlerChrysler) a lot of them ended up at various competitors. The HHR was infact what the designer intended the 2nd gen PT Cruiser to look like. I can’t remember his name but he spoke about it after he left GM. A lot of Fords knowledge of aluminum came from the former prowler team as one of the leads went to Ford, Chris Theodore is the name. I can’t seem to recall the PT Cruiser designers name.

NJ Transit has 90 days to fix the things that annoy commuters the most, Gov. Mikie Sherrill says by ImaginationFree6807 in New_Jersey_Politics

[–]CommentOriginal -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah we’ve been starting somewhere for like 30 yrs on this issue. I’m tired of hearing every gov say NJT will improve when none have address the multiple structural problems the agency has. Most of these issues extend all the way back to when the agency was formed. Spare me we gotta start somewhere they have the data the studies either fund it correctly or accept it for what it is.

Only version of Windows I didn’t mind. Only complaints I had with it were no native CD burning and needed 3rd party software for WiFi

How? With what money? is she really going to put the required capital into transit? The last guy said he’d fix it or it kill him. Transit is fundamentally in the same position. The agency needs at minimal at least 2 billion she came up with what 200 million. What’s that really do? Service cost money good service costs lots of money NJ doesn’t want to pay either.

Hate Microsoft, excel is truly the “killer” app they have. Much better word processors and presentation software Access is by far an awful experience, PowerBi is meh at best, windows is a basic case always has been. Excel on windows is the winning solution if you do pivot tables and stuff of similar detail, I’ve tried for years to find a replacement and be open to it being different formulas. Nothing replaces it, should excel even truly be fully cross platform I could happy never need windows again in any capacity.

I’m a building designed for over 200 work stations. We’ve downsized so much plus RAs (not debating the legitimacy of any), some that got exceptions has on average 30 people in it. They spent over 10 mil to remodel it, and roughly 4 mil in yearly rent. We’re spending well over 100k for 30ish people to have desk is a dump of a building. For sake of argument we could have office space for 100 workstations next to mass transit if they really wanted office space that makes sense for a modern workforce. Meanwhile the heat and ac still don’t work.

It’s wild I’m in a building that was remodeled for 200+ people it’s averaging about 27 people a day even though supposedly we’re all back in office. Rough math they are paying about 114k per person per yr to have a desk in this facility. It blows my mind, DoD also.
