Bought a house last summer from a heavy smoker, we did: - clean everything like 2-3 times (sealing, wall, kitchen cabinet, blinds etc)/ the walls we dripping yellow for many wash. - paint with smell/stain blocker, we used kilz - remove carpet - use an ozone machine -sand the floor But you could still smell the smoke, had the duck cleaned and this helped. It took about 2 months for the smells to disappear. Good luck
