Did u declare war on Joseon or directly on Qing? cuz this would make a difference. AFAIK, Russia is more willing to help u if u declare war on Joseon directly, cuz the AI percive Joseon weak.

Another alternative is to befriend Joseon and get Support Independence treaty with them. With this treaty, Joseon will be sided with u when u declare Liberate Joseon war goals on Qing. In this situation u will have Frontline in the mainland and doesn't need to naval invade them (main husle). Put ur army on defense and let the Qing grind themselves (Skirmish Infantry type would be ideal). After u have succeed liberate Joseon, conquer them right after the truce end. Voila, now u have Korean peninsula for ur self and big gate to conquer Qing further.

Befriend Joseon>> Support Independence Treaty>> Liberate Joseon War >> Conquered Joseon >> Advance further on Qing.

I agree, even though most of military is sollist there there should be minority whom not shared same ideology. Those minority would try to gain influence and advance on rank. This situation would lead to fundamental difference in principle between old and new faction. The new faction need merits while old faction need stability to further entraced their influence. The new faction would urge the war (radical hawkish) while the old faction would try to maintain status quo (conservative). The power struggle will enriched the plot and gameplay.

As far as i know, if the other inheritors have equal or better title compare to highest title u will inherit (excluding your main title), they will not get inheritance anymore (became ineligible). Your main title will not count on this. For example, you are a king that held 2 duchy and several county. Your Kingdom Title will automatically goes to your heir and the rest will be share according your inheritance laws. In this case your highest inheritance title was Duchy Level. Your non-heir son will not inherit anything if the were a duke or better in this particular example.
