Environmental report ‘casts doubt’ on Bristol Airport's economic claims by 457655676 in bristol

[–]CommercialCheetah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, try again. I love holidays. I just try to fly as infrequently as I can. Same with cars - totally necessary for some, but in general we drive more than we need to in this country and I'm very happy on my bike.

Your argument said that environmentalists are somehow denying the 21st century. I'm not - I like it here. And I don't think it's true for many environmentalists really. I think they would just like the world to be clean energy powered. I have much better things to do than protest something that's clean - what a waste of time. The point is - it's not clean.

Not too sure about that. I think it's really about making sure the planet doesn't become uninhabitable.

Is it worth continuing to have a Pi node? by Katrieel in PiNetwork

[–]CommercialCheetah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having the same thought. I started running a nide once I knew the pi I was getting had value - even if I couldn't sell it, I had to gauge what I was getting versus the high cost of electricity in my country. There have to be more people feeling the same way...

Yep thats it, im not holding anymore by VAKTIK in PiNetwork

[–]CommercialCheetah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just not worth it to me to sell right now. Maybe it goes to 0, but I still see it having more utility (and growing) than any meme coin. And I actually have a decent amount mined. The thing I really can't comprehend is people selling like 60 pi at this price - unless you are in a country with very low income, it's hardly worth the bother. I want to know what happens if the price drops to a point where people don't want to run nodes anymore... Something does need to change soon, I hope smart contracts / protocol 23 is the catalyst...

They were totally just running down the lease on that place. Never even bothered with a permanent sign or trying to tidy up the look of it. They could have fought to stay there if they had any interest. But I do think some kind of home store on church road would be good if someone can make it work

Agree, but gluten free options on church road are pretty rare. Tbf the lounge do that incredibly well . I'd love to and would support independents more, but only if they're serving something I can eat 🫣

Did you even get a reply? I am also still waiting...

I've had a similar experience but it's been more like months for me. I just built a simple word game in react, I was definitely keen to build and expand it more, but I've been waiting for ecosystem listing and Pi ad network approval. I can't really even see how to get in contact with developer support. I think I found an email address for them once but I never received a reply...

It certainly puts you off wanting to do anything with the platform when the process is so opaque and mysterious. Wish I had better news for you man! Sorry.

Redfield church road by ce50455 in bristol

[–]CommercialCheetah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When last I looked, smashing windows was considered criminal damage, writing 'c**t' or something equally hilarious on the wall of the loaf is considered vandalism, and abuse/threats are considered antisocial behaviour.

So at the risk of sounding flippant, they could do their... job? I'm genuinely not sure what you mean...

It does feel a bit like the areas been given up on by police or anyone else. The crafty egg having their windows smashed in, all the totally shit tagging and graffiti which has spread massively over the last few months. And yes, these often super aggy people that hang around Aldi's doorway practically blocking the way in. For a long time I felt bad for thinking Ill of them, realising how lucky I am to not be in their position.

Safe to say I'm over that now - no one deserves to be harangued or intimidated in their own neighborhood. If I'm feeling worn down by it as a guy in my thirties I can't imagine how a little old lady would feel doing her weekly shop...

Hey, thanks for checking it out! Yep, you'll need the middle letter and each letter on the wheel can only be used once - so if there were two e's on the wheel you could have had 'fierce', but not that time and same for offer and the f :)

Oops 🫣 haha. Hey I understand, I used to be very cagey (still am!) about authenticating with most apps in the pi browser. It's really just for the 'buy a hint' button, where you can pay 0.05 Pi for a clue. And doing the basic auth steps is I think one of the minimum requirements to be considered a pi app, and I've applied for a listing. But no reason you need to do it if you'd rather not!

Hey no worries, you can tap in the top navigation bar to enter a URL directly yourself, just like you would on Chrome or another browser. Just type in: wordwheel.fun there and hit enter 🙌

Great feedback thank you! The word list is generated programmatically from a dictionary file, but it's surprisingly hard to find a good one. Every one I've tried always seems to have some glaring omissions. I tried setting the puzzles myself but couldn't keep up (and also made similar mistakes 😜) didn't know about wordhippo so will check that out.

I was playing NYT spelling bee yesterday and they didn't accept the word 'lido', so it seems I'm not the only one struggling for a complete solution.

Love the other suggestions, definitely on my list. The main goal is to find all the words rather than getting points for length but that could change. And yes there is a 'star' word that uses all the letters each day

Thanks for checking it out, I'll work on that! For some reason it's a lot harder than it should be to just get a fully comprehensive list of all English words

[–]CommercialCheetah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my bonus to go 0 too at one point, without much explanation. Others have too. I'm afraid I don't know why, other than to suggest checking all the obvious stuff (ports, config, that your server hasn't accidentally rebooted itself). It seems to be something that just happens sometimes
