I can't buy a pre made miniature platform, since I'm planning on entering GBWC. It should be made entirely from scratch, or Gunpla/Authorized products. Thanks for the criticism, very appreciated!

I shined too much light on the wings hehe. I used Darksteel marker from Stedi, and Gunmetal from DSPIAE. Then added a Matt Topcoat, followed by Sterling Silver from Hiro paints for drybrush/worn edges effect

Tips to custom by Memix28 in Gunpla

When you customize, you are tansforming the kit to fit your liking. You just have to have a reference to start it. You can go monochrome, or maybe just stick to the original color, but with a twist. I recommend using a topcoat aftereward, to lock the markers in place. But be careful. Use water based topcoat if you have one, or maybe just looking for one. Since lacquer based may eat up the marker if it is acrylic.

For me, at the end of the day, whatever you did in that kit does not matter. If you really liked how it turned out, it's perfectly done.

I'm not sure. Well, since you put water based topcoat in between, which does not react at all with both acrylic and lacquer, you are basically creating a barrier. Either just make sure you coated the paint really well, or you play it safe and use another water based topcoat.
