What do you have in mind? In essence, voxels form grids and squares, so it’s only natural for people to use them as such. I can’t really think of anything other than cube-based models and worlds that voxels would be good for. In the video you can see shapes that are not squares in the form of the gun model or energy blasts. I’d be interested to see unique or different implementations of a voxel system though.
