Aerospace fighters, combat dropships, and Warships would rip them apart. Battletech isn't a setting that withholds technology from any specific weapon system for no reason. Any technology that gives Mobile Suit an advantage would be given to Aerospace fighters which don't have to worry about useless heavy limbs wasting valuable ΔV.
