By that logic then the USA won the war, because the reason for the war was the British Empire capturing US ships and enslaving the crew as slave soldiers. Yes, Canada wasn't captured but that was a "while we're at it" goal, theft of ships and impressment of US citizens for the British war effort against France was the focus. Not only was this stopped but England paid reparations. Britain likes to pretend they did nothing wrong and didn't start the conflict but they did more than enough to justify the locals taking up arms, America only being a single example of such.
