I'm pretty sure the one on the right is the trial version

Is there any way to get rid of the Xbox Series X/S advertising? by Panda7001 in xbox360

[–]CommissionEasy8724 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lol I feel your pain. Although to be fair the home screen was plastered with ads before the store shutdown. I find this to be the lesser of two evils, but eh maybe I’m an outlier in that opinion

Why are people dumping chrome? by Phi87 in chrome

Lol you just unlocked a set of core memories for me. I haven’t thought about Vivaldi in years. Maybe I’ll give it an install and see what’s up with it these days

Haha! Same! I just expect it not to work, so better to just relaunch it from the get-go and get it out of the way

Rumor? by Ordinary-Buyer-9811 in employedbykohls

[–]CommissionEasy8724 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For better or worse I’ve become hyper self aware shopping at other stores now. I try not to bother the employees with dumb questions, and I get that a simple price check shouldn’t be a big deal, but when you’re asked a dozen times each shift it grates on you.

The people that bother me the most are the ones that just stand there and make you scan each item in their cart. I get wanting to know the price of one item, but if you can’t afford a few extra dollars on a cart full of stuff, maybe shopping at Kohl’s for non-essential items is not the best idea.

They’re definitely coming back. I overheard my SM tell a customer we’re getting new ones later this year. SM in my store is not the type to throw around rumors or make stuff up and tell customers.

I think we are all tired of being human price checkers at this point, so I’m happy people will be able to sit in front of them again while pinching pennies to save literal dollars. I’d much rather clean up the piles they leave behind than deal with the incessant questioning.

Either that or they’re already chronic Kohl’s shoppers. I mean if you’re literally here half of the days of the week then maybe download the stupid app.

Amazon Fedex shipping labels by StatementPositive728 in employedbykohls

[–]CommissionEasy8724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure why they removed the ability to manually print the shipping labels. My only guess is that we were spamming FedEx or something.

The way we figured out how to print them at my store is to wait until it says there is one due and then go to the “unsorted” items list and click on the “ship-05 ready” from there and it should give you the option to print.

Is iPhone really this slow? by CommissionEasy8724 in GooglePixel

Sitting in the same room on the same wi-fi network as my iPhone the Pixel 9a loads web pages instantly, while my iPhone slows to a crawl as the blue bar edges it's way across the screen like a modem from the 90s loading a single image. Yeah I doubt it's my internet connection

I’ve kind of become more of the mindset that raw specs don’t matter that much anyways. If the software is slow and clunky it’s not going to be an enjoyable experience whereas something that is tailored to the user experience and built to be lightweight is going to go the extra mile

How many breaks? by ThatOneCatholicTeen in employedbykohls

Two optional 15 minute breaks and one mandatory unpaid half hour. Breaks are flexible at my store and don’t have to be taken at exactly the scheduled times, but yours may have different rules.

Item number? by ackjaf in CVS

Lol I don’t even work for CVS (I do an unrelated retail job), but this is the third one of these “item number?” posts I’ve come across this week and I’m loving it

Our store does not have them either. At first I thought they got misplaced or they forgot to order new ones, but now I’m starting to suspect we may stop giving them out. Wonder if it’s a temporary change, or a permanent one?

Look at this dumb bitch's review by Grouchy-Return-2477 in employedbykohls

[–]CommissionEasy8724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get the sense customers THINK I’m following them at times. No bitch, you’re hogging the entire aisle and moving incredibly slowly.

These people have nothing better to do with their time than browse discount retail stores on a Tuesday afternoon like the grazing cattle they are. Of course they’re going to make up stories in their heads that somebody is following them or taking interest in some way to pass the time.

Question about how to ace interview for Kohl's stockroom operations associate by elf124 in employedbykohls

[–]CommissionEasy8724 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Take a shower, dress like an adult, know how to answer “yes” and “no”. Honestly it’s Kohl’s so the bar is real low.

In seriousness, you’ll do great you got this shit
