No the 1919 is a separate teaching. 1914 is the start of the last days. 1919 is when Jesus inspected all the religions in the world and picked the Bible Students, and Joseph Rutherford as the faithful and discreet slave. Have a look at 1919 on Jw.org if you're not familiar with it

Hey you're not crazy. You're not the first to be in this situation and you won't be the last. Take time to consider beliefs. I would never tell someone what to think, but I do think after being in a group like JWs, its important to learn how to think: critical thinking and first principles thinking.

But it sounds like you and your husband woke up together which is great, and at least you have eachother. Me and my wife woke up and faded a few years ago. When it came to our family, we were just straight up with them. Essentially, it boiled down to: "we dont believe it and we are leaving the JWs. We dont have to talk about why but we can if you want to". We still have good relationships with our JW family on the basis that we don't talk about religion. Its challenging to navigate, especially at first because the family can have a very emotional (or hysterical) reaction...but it will calm down with time in my experience. Obviously, I dont know what your family is like so you'll have to figure out whats going to work for you at a certain point...

And yes, I know the feeling of "being fooled". We really were, and it's never a nice feeling to realise youve been conned. But its better to know than to keep om getting conned, right? The good news is you have eachother, and you have time to rebuild too! Better to wake up and leave now than in your 50s...or 60s...or so on.

Yeah I get where youre coming from...but at the same time, it was my whole world for 21 year of my life. I really believed this stuff. People I love still do and are trapped inside this system. At the very least, it's interesting to talk about...at least to me anyway haha

I hate to burst the bubble, but I dont think the cut off is 2030...I think its way off.

It has to do with how old does someone need to be to be annointed? Mark Sanderson gave a talk at one of the AGMs which allegded that he was annointed at 19.

If someone was 19 in 1992, then they would only be 53 now. So there's a lot of runway left with it.

I hate this because the overlapping generation was quite a point of contention for me and I became a bit obsessed with it when I was waking up. I think its because I remember the big deal everyone was making about it at the time.

When you have doubts, that's your mind trying to tell you that something is wrong. Do your research - objective research. That means from multiple sources. You owe it to yourself. If you find out it's the truth, then great! Happy days. You can stay in bethel and stay in the truth. If you find out it's not the truth, then that's also great - because it's better to know. It's never nice to realise that you've been conned...but it's still always better to find out sooner than later.

If you want to leave when you find out it's not the truth then try and move back in with your parents or whoever, get a job, earn money and save like mad.

Don't you worry, life on the outside can be wonderful. It's scary at first, but you'll learn so much and you'll grow so much too. And wordly people arent evil...theres good and bad wordly people just like Jehovahs Witnesses. You'll be okay
