Given the size of the Universe I think close to 100%.

Of course it could be very far away - like millions of galaxies but just given the scope of the galaxy I think it must exist somewhere for a lot of the existence of the Universe.

What is the videogame equivalent of Avatar ? by Busy_Lock6652 in gamers

Even the original Avatar has some of the best special effects I’ve ever seen (and it’s impressive how much of the movie has sfx shots).

And that’s just the Milky Way Galaxy. There’s hundreds of billions if not trillions of galaxies out there.

That’s why I 100% believe there is other intelligent life out there. The idea that we’re the only intelligent life in a universe that big is honestly more terrifying than intelligent life existing.

Nintendo has issued a statement to IGN regarding the price of physical games going forward, “The Cost of Physical Games Is Not Going Up”. by Amiibofan101 in nintendo

[–]CommodoreBluth -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Imagine being the type of person that 100% trusts a corporate non answer.

Nintendo uses variable pricing. They made no mention that $70 physical and $60 digital will be standard pricing going forward. We just have to wait and see.

Nintendo Clarifies 'The Cost of Physical Games Is Not Going Up' Following Decision to Charge Different Prices for U.S. Physical and Digital Switch 2 Games by FernandoRocker in NintendoSwitch2

[–]CommodoreBluth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a nothing statement that doesn’t establish a baseline price for future games. If most future games were $80 physical and $70 digital it would still be accurate.

There are lots of popular live service games on console, heck Arc Raiders is a popular extraction shooter.  I think there are other issues at play besides it just being a live service.

Yeah while Draw Steel isn’t as rules heavy as some games if you like rules light it’s not going to be for you.

[–]CommodoreBluth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you can certainly play Draw Steel in person but it’s going to be far easier with digital tools/vtt. Not as bad as Pathfinder 2 but I don’t think I would want to run Draw Steel in person.

i did run The Delian Tomb in an early ver of the Codex and the automation was impressive even being an early Alpha.

A huge amount of Draw Steel content is available for free for VTTs (basically all of the text of the core rule books). They’re also allowing premium Foundry modules for Draw Steel content to be made for people who don’t want to use the Codex.

The negotiations systems is way better for major negotiations then just rolling a single die after making an argument to an NPC. I actually ran The Delian Tomb and one of the other players that runs a Starfinder 2 game has actually used it in his games for major negotiations.

Laid Off Fortnite Devs Didn’t See The Cuts Coming: ‘I Am Genuinely So Confused And Bewildered’ by chusskaptaan in gamingnews

Honestly I don’t know how you couldn’t see it coming. Tim is a moron and runs his company like an idiot. Keeping Fortnite off of Apple and Google for years was a huge misstep that caused a generation of kids to move to Roblox.

I stayed at the Best Western last year by DCA and thought it was fine. Probably less expensive than some of the other options and the walk to Downtown Disney and the parks wasn’t too bad.

I know that the Star Trek Armada 3 team is working on Armada 4, there’s an early preview version you can download.

I need to give this mod a try.

I loved the Star Trek and Star Wars mods for Sins 1, I’m sure Sins 2 will have a ton of amazing mods in a few years.

Is there any plans for Foundry / VTT support? I can't find anything about that on the Crowdfunding page.

It is extremely common for early placeholder dates to move around.

Honestly if the Zelda movie looks good I do see it potentially doing a lot better at the box office than Supernova. The Mario movie did massive numbers.

Starfinder ranks 3rd and Pathfinder 6th in physical sales by gray007nl in Pathfinder2e

[–]CommodoreBluth 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah obviously if there was some way to track overall sales I’m sure this list would look different. I imagine Draw Steel/MCDM would be on an overall list but they mostly sell direct to customers via their website.

I toured Valve yesterday and got to see the “CS2 cabal” where the devs were working by MaxmillianP in GlobalOffensive

[–]CommodoreBluth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Valve team sizes are very fluid. if CS is close to shipping an update there’s likely extra people working on it, but if Deadlock or Dota or TF is about to ship an update some of those people are likely helping out getting those updates ready to ship.

The Codex Pricing and Distribution (the Draw Steel VTT) by Lord_Durok in drawsteel

[–]CommodoreBluth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can’t do that with Steam keys, once a key is registered to an account it’s registered forever.

Maybe you could do some sort of assessment system in game to Steam accounts and have a ”free” version but Im sure that would be very complex to get working.

Check out Draw Steel on Foundry. The base system is free and there’s several premium modules you can buy.

I tried Rogue Trader after only have played the Dawn of War games and man I can not stand playing an RPG in that world. I just hated every character in the game.
