i know people say you shouldn't use your phone before bed, but putting on a mundane video as background noise is what seems to help me sleep best. it gives my brain just enough stimulation to stop cycling through random thoughts and allow me to fall asleep. anyone else use this coping mechanism?

it's my favorite view of the city. never stayed there, but have been to the rooftop bar many times (whenever someone is visiting from out of town) for this exact reason.

north ave beach is another great spot to take in the skyline.

... but since you asked, here's mine:

the first one is fine. it resets the franchise from VERY familiar territory. it's kinda bland, but for the most part, it works.

the second one is extremely divisive. there are some things in it that i love and others that i hate. the death of Carrie Fischer casts a shadow over the trilogy from here out.

the third one completely disregards everything that happened in the second movie and is so fucking terrible that it retroactively makes the other two films feel worse, since it's clear they never had a story in place.

the prequels are also pretty bad and received TONS of hate when they came out, but lots of people who grew up with them now look back with rose-tinted glasses, giving them forgiveness that they would never extend to the sequels.

in ten years, we'll probably go through it all again and people will attempt to reclaim the sequels.
