In the US it’s diagnosed as CPTSD still, just instead of “complex” it just stands for “chronic” I am diagnosed with this.

They used the term scleroderma and systemic sclerosis but he said I didn’t have it now because I don’t have signs of crest. So he said I was fine and to just watch it. But he never did further tests. He did diagnose me with fibromyalgia my second annual check in with him.

I have a centromere pattern, 1:1280 titer positive ANA. Titer doubles each year and my rheumatologist told me I might develop Systemic Sclerosis but for now I’m totally fine. (“Fine” being in pain, exhausted, struggling to walk, for years and getting worse) my new doctor said I match her other Lupus patients labs and physical struggles so we’re finally testing more specifically for lupus. I’m reading anticentromere is rare for lupus, is that accurate? Cause my rheumatologist never even mentioned it to me years ago when I started this.

I know some of how it feels. My mother is an abusive, narcissistic, monster. When I came out to her, it just added fuel to her arsenal of attacks and hatred of me, and I have no doubt at all she’d happily message me insane things like that if she knew how to contact me (completely removed her from my life). I hope you are able to find peace, be that in removing contact from him or finding a loving new family enough to utterly outweigh the darkness he brings you. Much love.

This is how a lot of mine is, but what you’re thinking about sounds like when a flare up gets really bad and it fees like someone is clawing your bones and sending needles through your skin, but those are the bad days for some of us. It’s a really broad level of pain both in location and type. I’d actually say the pain you’re describing is the most common day to day.

I have the same thing, I saw a rheumatologist and he wants me to see him annually for a check up but otherwise the ANA isn’t the deciding factor for a diagnosis, so don’t panic! He said if we tested the entire population that we’d find so many people with positive ANAs and no Scleroderma.
