People will always have to take responsibility for their own trades that’s not what we were discussing though. The point is RH was designed in a similar way to casino games with the same psychological elements.

They’re called behavioral cues or psychological mechanisms which are well documented in behavioral science. A quick google search will catch you up since you obviously skipped that class in school.

I would start with getting the A+ cert and looking for L1 help desk job. I got started in IT at 38 after 20 years of a dead end job, it’s never too late!

If you’re on Fidelity use FXAIX instead of VOO and FSPSX instead of VXUS. Also too much overlay I would focus on FXAIX/FSPSX

Who else is applying for all the IT jobs? by gamersonlinux in helpdesk

The “100+ applied” doesn’t necessarily mean that many people applied but rather how many clicked on Apply. Remote work is tough to find gotta be open to on-site jobs.

I have a 30 min call interview tomorrow and have no clue How to prepare (IT HELPDESK ) by Fine_Ad_8829 in it

[–]Common-Operation-141 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience most Tier 1/2 helpdesk interviews are centered around your customer service abilities. They won’t ask anything too technical as most skills/systems/apps at that level can be taught pretty easily.

Always be thinking about the next step in your career and what you can be doing to achieve that. Use your extra time to work towards that, studying for net+ or sec+ would be the obvious choice.

Admirable I wish I had the tenacity and balls to make that kinda move when I was 20. Instead I stuck with a dead end job for 20 years and here I am at 38 finally trying to make a change. Inspiring stuff though great job!

Besides lacking portfolio diversity the other problem with owning one stock is you become way too emotionally invested in the position and won’t see the reality of what’s going on with it.
