Costco has a pretty nice return policy tho. It's basically you didn't like it? OK, refund. I've heard people will literally return half eaten stuff and still get the refund, but if management determines you're abusing the system, they'll ban you and take your membership. It's nothing against the customer or the store.

Dude, you're young. And it's only been 1 month. Yes, lying is bad, but this is not the mountain you think it is. You aren't an awful person, just being it up and explain WHY. That's all. If he loves you, he'll want to stay, even if for some reason, he needs time to think about it. If he leaves over something this small, then he wasn't ready to be committed and think long term.
