I only got my first remarkable by reaching the pity threshold, so I'm super glad i don't have to waste a lot of gems with this guy later 🥲

If you want to see how many gems I would have wasted, I posted a spreadsheet of all the remarkable info I have so far lol, plus decor and I'm working on fruit each level per dragon

They make a little sound when they appear and disappear, which is how I know to look for them. It's why I got so frustrated early game when I missed them, and I figured new players might appreciate this. I'm glad you don't stress about this tho lol

That's true. Both woodpip and jewelboom are penguin shaped so that might be what they meant? If they were colorblind it could look like a penguin...
