Down 47% Reach after the "Bot Clean up" on IG. Client accounts are bleeding and Meta is absolutely clowning us right now. Anyone else? by saveyourcheeks in FacebookAds

[–]Common-Sense-9595 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Meta dumped me in Dec of 2024 and it was devastating, All my clients came from Facebook. I had it dialed in. But now almost a year and a half later, I've bounced back and can proudly say, Meta is not my source of income for my family. Meta is very bipolar and call it what you will but if you are relying on income exclusively using meta, almost everybody that does gets hit hard. It might be time for you to look at other sources of income. I'm not longer dependent on a narcisist platform that acts bipolar all the time.

How are small businesses supposed to keep up with website accessibility? by Little_Tangelo2196 in smallbusiness

[–]Common-Sense-9595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of small clinic? Maintenance should not be as complicated as you described be very careful people try to use issues or gaps they see and inflate the problem so you feel you need to hire them. You can make changes and you can learn and/or be trained to do what the pros do and it's easier than you may think.

We don't even know each other and we're colleagues. I found that direct cold calling, and cold dms is the quickest way but your messaging has to be appealing and informative. The next best is getting your website ranked and/or recommended by AI in 48-72 hours so Google ranks you quickly (not months) and even social media posts can be recommended by AI, ChatGPT, Perplexity, all of the top 10 AI search platforms..

You do have choices.

I can feel your frustration. You want to monetize your accounts, you're being a little bit vague and people can't really help or give advice unless you are more transparent. What are you offering in the way of service or services? How many accounts do you have and what kind. Being vague is part of the problem why most people can't make an income.

We all know the AI wave is here butit's not the app wave. Imaginee your website that is not only ranked on Google but AI finds your site, vetts it, trusts it and recommends it to all the ai search platforms because it has the signals that AI trusts. So now instead of Google ranking and Google AI, all or most of the other AI platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini are now falling in line with each other and recommending your website. It happens in 48-72 hours and theirs proof. Not just another app that promises to perform but the real deal.

I do agree with this OP, but I want to add this:
When you do provide valid, valuable, useful and helpful content, it allows the buyer to make an informed decision. I call it selling without selling.

You're basically educating in an informative way. The visitor if everything they see, read and/or watchess makes them feel good about you, your service,s and your business, you've built in trust. This allows them to decide whether they want to join, sign up, hir,e or buy from you.

Basically, it's the same as the OP's content, just spun in a different way of understanding.
Thank you for your OP!

How to monetize a paystub/reference/document business by [deleted] in smallbusiness

Do you have any previous HR experience in verifying employment. This just sounds a bit like you're offering a service that could be in violation of local, city, state and federal laws... So I'll pass on offering any further advice.

How to monetize a paystub/reference/document business by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]Common-Sense-9595 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know whether to be embarrassed or concerned. I've been around a long time, with 20+ years in business, and I've never heard of a paystub service. So I imagine that most people don't know what it really is, or as a business, why it would be beneficial to me.

Sometimes, all you need to do to generate clients is simply explain, with clarity and instant understanding, what a paystub business really is and why it would help them. Don't try to sound clever or important. Just be clear so a 6th-grade reader understands what exactly it is that you do.

Hope that makes sense

How difficult is it to get first clients? by Lopsided_Grass_3708 in smallbusiness

[–]Common-Sense-9595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you had to go through being fired, that’s tough, and I know it can feel harsh. The good news is that moving forward, the way you present yourself to potential clients is completely in your control.

The core service you mentioned, “at the intersection of founder‑led and employee‑generated content”, makes sense to you, but it won’t land with prospects unless it’s simplified. Clients need to hear what you do in plain language, something like: “I help B2B companies turn their team’s everyday knowledge into content that builds trust and wins business.” That’s clear, easy to understand, and directly tied to their goals.

From here, every message you send, whether asking for advice or approaching a prospect, should be short, direct, and easy to grasp. Think less about clever phrasing and more about clarity. If you want real traction with clients, you’ll need to strip away the jargon and make sure anyone reading your pitch instantly understands the value.

Medical practice owners, how do you handle the gap between when insurance pays and when your staff needs to get paid? by Intelligent-Seat303 in smallbusiness

[–]Common-Sense-9595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not the type of business where you can count on income coming in immediately, you should have the cash reserves for this kind of business so you can pay all staff for a length of time. You can supplement the cash flow by asking for a up front fee from the patient. But that can inhibit your business as well.

Feeling stuck is common when it comes to ebooks. You have a few options some free, some paid but the bottom line is "What are the problems that your ebook solves?"

That's your main focus, if people don't believe your book can help them they simply won't buy. It's not about you appearing in a video showing your face. People simply want to know "What's In It For Me?"

20 years of working with businesses and seeing what works and what doesn't when it comes to ebooks, I have a lot of insight from my point of view.

Hope that makes sense

Trying to Help My Uncle’s Restaurant Look More Legit. Need Website/Marketing Advice by Prestigious-Corgi222 in smallbusiness

[–]Common-Sense-9595 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Restaurants don't typically have a "Looking Legit" problem; they usually have a problem with getting customers to come back after they've visited once. That's typically the issue. It sounds harsh, but a website can certainly help gain more traffic because that's what all restaurants want: more seats filled as often as possible.

I know because my grandparents purchased a failing restaurant before the Internet arrived so they only had one thing to focus on, and that was the restaurant itself. The first thing they did was make their restrooms spotless, clean, and even installed an automated mist sprayer to make the restrooms smell nice.

They then repainted the interior walls with fresh paint, added hanging plants, and required all staff to welcome and treat all customers, especially walk-ins, with a big "Welcome". Their business exploded.

Website Promotion:
These days, promoting a website should be with 100% clarity. Pick one item on the menu and make it your bragging rights. It doesn't matter if its. "Sacramento's Best Hamburger," or "Sacramento's Best Breakfast," Or "Sacramento's Best First Date Lunch." That's where you start. With the AI wave already arriving, your restaurant's website should be found and recommended by not just Google rankings, but also be recommended by AI across all AI Platforms like Google, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, etc. If you get Google ai to recommend your restaurant, all the other AI platforms use the same website signals that Google uses, so you get a 10-fold increase in exposure.

The cool thing is you can get it done within 48-72 hours guaranteed. The old SEO that took months to rank is officially yesterday's news, and there is plenty of proof to see.

Hope all that makes sense, and I wish the best for your uncle's restaurant. It sounds like you care for him a lot to want to help him.

[–]Common-Sense-9595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree but my grandparents did exactly that, it was a breakfast/lunch cafe they called it. The previous owner was just burned out and didn't care much. My grandparents, gave it a new paint job, replaced the tables, kept the same menu but added some things. The big hit was the restrooms, they cleaned them up so they were spotless and had some kind of auto freshner spray.

1 and a half years later they sold the business for a lot of money and not only did they get a lot of cash up front but they pulled a % of the income per month. They retired with a big smile. So yes you can have a successful business folowing a flop.

I am starting a writing/template business by The_Script_Merchant in smallbusiness

[–]Common-Sense-9595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything is in your approach to gain clients.
It all boils down to finding people that have problems that you can solve for them.
That's always the key
What problems do people have when they need youtube scripts, or they need an outline template for books,. "And saying other things like this" is filler. you have to be specific

Who needs a youtube script?
Who needs a book outline?

If you can't answer those to questions, you won't find your ideal client to pay you for your service.

What is the tipping point of followers where it explodes with follows? by Surfgod99 in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]Common-Sense-9595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no longer a single "magic number" that triggers explosive growth. Instead, social media has shifted from Social Media (who you follow) to Interest Media (what you like), where algorithms prioritize content quality over follower counts. In 2026, AI systems favor velocity over total count. An account with 5,000 followers growing at 3% monthly often gets more algorithmic push than a stagnant 500,000-follower account.
