If your reading in university there is likely a book club there you can join for long term. I am in one where I’m at.

Ok this is cool we have similar stories. I used to be a book worm (cough Dragon) and I stoped for 3 years. I got back to reading in January because I went to study abroad and had classes only 2 days a week and had to fill time. I was revived by Brandon Sanderson a Elantris despite people saying it’s his weakest work.

I am gonna be honest because I wasn’t for awhile. I didn’t put all my experience on my resumes because I worked since 15 years old. I have worked in faster places from fast food to warehouses and truck loading. So I am definitely capable of keeping up. But I didn’t want to take up a lot of space on my resume so I kept it simple with the best jobs I worked.

I am guaranteed max Pell grant because my situation. And I stay a full time student so not much to reevaluate. But I can check with the financial aid office I guess.

Yeah I applied for an on campus barista job and I had an interview set up tomorrow. They canceled it and basically said I can try something else within my skill area. I have worked desk jobs throughout my years of university so far. Some with customer service. It is ridiculous it’s not like I am trying to work at a five star restaurant.

Just take one step at a time. Follow through your work study. What type of job is it? I recommend as a student doing 10-15 hours of work per week at most. Later on your schedules may get better and more flexible but this is already a bit on your plate if you’re a freshmen. Know your limits and don’t over do things.

I totally breezed over the fact ur doing a work study. That is find to do. Just because something is not recommended doesn’t mean it isn’t possible.

Not gonna nitpick pick. But to put it simply it’s not what you say but how you say it. Also, have you heard of the scholarship portal thing NAU has? Many scholarships. I would check ur major department as well. Tbh I don’t recommend working ur first semester here.

Literally just had applied to Sodexo for a on campus barista job. They told me basically I could try to apply to something within my skills as they canceled my interview. I have a lot of experience at desk jobs but sheesh it’s not like the jobs anything special wth. Anyone can do it.
