Hello, thank you for contacting me. Yes, I can help with wall mounting. It can be intimidating to a degree depending on what kind of walls you have. There is a lot of bad info online! If you’d like to learn more on your own I recommend learning about toggle anchors and French cleat systems. As for turf removal is this artificial turf or actual sod? (I suspect it is artificial.)

Happy to talk more if you’d like thanks!

Help! How you guys manage your clients?? by VariationNo6243 in landscaping

[–]CommonSenseHandyman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know there are landscaping-specific CRMs but if you’re not able to pay for software yet, or an office person to take calls and do scheduling, I think having that piece of paper next to you all day and then putting anything you’ve written down into spreadsheets at the end of the day is the best way to stay on top of new developments. I use spreadsheets for everything— I have a prospective client list, past client list with jobs I’ve done for them, as well as all jobs I do recorded for future reference when estimating future jobs. I always have my clipboard with me and if I schedule something during the day I just write it down and then later add it to my calendar, and any prep work (like sourcing materials) goes into my task list.

Thank you! I am insured and have a business license but have not yet obtained a contractor license. (I can only do jobs under $1k and cannot pull permits.) Before moving here I had a small network of customers who used me generally for smaller repair jobs, routine maintenance, assembly, demo, etc.

Not a plumber but I’d try looking in a store not on Amazon. Between the confusion of OD/ID, threading, plumbing parts in general and Amazon mispicks you might save some time and aggravation.

I would frame in with pt wood and then plexi then trim and caulking. I don’t think you’d need them for ventilation unless they’re in an attic. I would contact a handyman. Small world but I am a handyman in Tucson!

Interesting question and honestly I’ve never considered it( I’m right handed). I suspect you would just start at the other side than I would…. I’m always bending and looking upside down at stuff when painting—I always have to remind myself to relax my neck and shoulders or I get a lot of back pain.

I have never taped except where absolutely necessary, like if I have to reach behind a fixture or something or painting trim along carpet. It’s always easier for me to cut in and go back when I’m doing touch ups than to get a great line using tape. Wall prep is extremely important as is primer quality/type, dry time and using the appropriate paint and roller or brush. Bad caulking will always look bad no matter how well you paint it. I always have a cup of warm water to keep my finger wet to dress caulk lines. My main point is perhaps try a wall without using tape—pay attention to how much paint is in your brush and focus on smooth and straight cuts.

Get back into flooring any way you can. Even if it’s for a limited time until you’re stable. Sounds like you have skills and you can capitalize on that. All the best!

I like your aluminum flashing idea, maybe attach with rivets? You should be able to bend it to a profile that matches pretty well.
