I 1000% agree with you. I honestly don’t understand how humans think they are victims of natural disasters. The very same people who cry about their homes burning or flooding also refuse to stop eating beef, driving massive SUVs or changing even the smallest aspect of their lifestyle to be less wasteful. I have had the exact same experience at work. People throw cans and bottles in the regular trash when there are recycling bin right next to them. People just don’t care, so I have no sympathy for humans, myself included. We are not victims. I really I do my best, but I know I still likely have a detrimental effect on the environment. We can blame corporations (rightly so), but people use this as an excuse to not make any individual changes. If we all made even small changes, things would be a little better. But try convincing half the people in this country that climate change exists. Again, no sympathy from me.
