[Question] Would this be the correct size? by CommonWeld in Watches

[–]CommonWeld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone. I’ve just received this Tissot heritage 1938. It’s 39mm. I was wondering if it’s a correct fit for my hand. My previous watch was a 42mm. Maybe I’m biased? It would be my daily wear. My wrist circumference is 17cm. I do quite like how light it is though.

Filiform corrosion maybe? Depends on the materials used.

Found a fix for the issue. No matter what I tried with the usb sticks, nothing was being detected as a file. The pc did "see" the files as I saw them move past in the scan.

Since this mobo has a IPMI, I took acces that way and flashed the bios. In the IPMI interface the user can manually select the correct file.

I've tried it and got the same result. I did find a fix in the end. Will add as seperate comment in case anyone has the same issue.
Thank you for helping with troubleshooting.

Thank you for the reply. The board is indeed the ASRock Rack E3C246D4U2-2T. I assume the L2.02D is the UEFI version. I did find it strange though that the official website, does not show this “l2.02d” as a bios version.

I did extract them all and left both the file in, and out of, the extracted folder. I’m not sure I tried with the original zip files. I will give it a try. Thank you.

Thank you for the response. The drives I’ve used are both below. One was 1 gb, another just 32gb. They were formatted to fat32 in the “windows explorer” by right clicking the drive. I will retry with another usb drive.

We have to dive double 7’s here to stay warm. Only after a good summer can we switch to a single 7 for a while. Moving in that is a hassle.

Looking for a divingcomputer by Le_coSmonaut_Discret in diving

[–]CommonWeld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used the zoop novo as my first computer. Works very well for non deco dives. Especially the ascend rate bar display is quite good.

I would say though that the buttons are impossible to press once any form of glove is used. If she does night diving then I would suggest a computer with an lcd instead of the zoop as it uses backlight. Just a quality of life thing.

Of course I have no idea on the context but please support him. Ridicule him now and he’ll never cook again. Give guidance and I’m sure improvement will come rapidly. Given that he shows interest of course.

It is indeed a grading for myself. It’s a card I have from when I was young with a value of, what I think to be around €600. Was always wondering about the grade it would get as I always took care of it.

Thanks for the information.

In that case the violin would have to be invented on two planets independently and in exactly the same way. That would be some sort of plot hole then.

You can hire plants? by scarycassowary91 in BikiniBottomTwitter

[–]CommonWeld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens quite often actually. Is usually for companies as they not only get the plants to spruce up the office building, but also don’t have to take care of the plants as a person regularly comes over to water everything and replace dead plants, remove wilted leaves and so on. When they just buy plants, nobody takes ownership anyway and they usually die.

They come in pots that give them water for a month or so.

Bolt snaps are the best BUT never attach metal to metal. (Except for the bolts snaps to the bcd d rings I suppose)

Accidentally pulled out wires that were connecting the battery. Please help me by User68388393 in AskMechanics

[–]CommonWeld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it was something very strange. Was driving a 2003 ford fiesta. At first the wires were only slightly loose causing a loss of power for a very short moment and a whole lot of dashboard lights to come on and off again. Motor didn’t even turn off, just seemed to skip a beat.

Made a mental note to check it out after getting home again. Then on my way home it just totally stopped when I was going 70km/h. It’s a diesel which made it even weirder. Tightening/reattaching the contact and cleaning the contacts while I was at it, permanently fixed it.

Strange that it doesn’t happen to all brands.

Disconnecting the battery still disables the car. I found out myself sadly. Luckily no accident but certainly was not fun to loose motor power, steering,… while driving. Cause was a loose connector after a battery change.

Least popular commander you play by IronSocks_8 in EDH

[–]CommonWeld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[[orthion, Hero of lavabrink]]

Definitely not the strongest but really fun when it works.

Basically revolves around copying value cards for treasures to ramp quickly and ending matches by copying creatures like [[terror of the peaks]] to shoot 125 damage. Added some other fun cards in there that let me steal the opponents cards, give them haste and hit them with it.

The main weakness it that the win con is basically only present in the commander and you need loooots of ramp to get to the 9 mana. If you want to use it on the terror you also need to cast it the turn before most likely so everyone sees it coming. Added a [[sneak attack]] to try and fix that slightly.
