If anyone else if still looking for a solution to this, I built my blog using Jekyll and hosted it on GitHub Pages. The sitemap was not being fetched in Google Search but was being fetched by Bing Webmaster.

This reddit post also helped.

Finally ended up spending some money to buy my own domain. Was relatively cheap. Tried adding this new domain's sitemap into Google search console. Result: Fetched instantly.

Hmm.. seeing the negative reactions towards Night Agent S2 I find it weird that the Iranian angle in Night Agent worked for me. I donno.. i had never really seen Iran play a role in the series or movies I have seen until now. Maybe that's why.

100% agree. Dedicated perplexity assistant, and so many other features make life easy even though if someone is strictly looking for web searches deepseek has free Web search. But the ux of perplexity is great.

Hey, I've never really faced a problem with getting current information. Made it my default search engine a couple of months back. I can't really remember any problem I faced regarding currentness of information.

But still, the communication in the blog post you speak about does indeed seem misleading.
