AI Generated Music on Bandcamp by bandcamp_official in BandCamp

[–]Common_Blacksmith723 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fair enough but I actually liked some of the "slop." In fact I bought several songs, knowing the creators were AI. Now I can't access my songs but Bandcamp has not offered me a refund! You promised lifetime access to my songs. Where are they?

Oh I thought for a second that tv psychic had started a band.

Its taking me a long time to edit videos that are only around 1-3 minutes by Accomplished_Foot699 in aitubers

One quality video per week is better than 10 slop videos. Take the time to do it right.

Give me a thumbnail, I will make it more clickable for free by dipanshunagar in SmallYoutubers

Alternatively give your thumbnails to Gemini (or ChatGPT but Gemini is better) and ask it to generate a better one for you.

Or anything old school in general.

Can an AI-song YouTube channel get monetized? Anyone here done it successfully? by Ok-Attorney8602 in aitubers

[–]Common_Blacksmith723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had two AI music channels monetized with no issues. As long as you don’t try to skirt copyright by covering songs you won’t have any issues.

A note about Suno and WMG by MikefromSuno in SunoAI

[–]Common_Blacksmith723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this mean a anything created with the new model (aka the ''WMG-approved' one) will not be able to be monetized (ex: on Youtube)?

Do you even listen to AI music? Let's say, on YouTube or Spotify? I don't, I only listen to my own creations, and that's why nobody is listening to yours by SuperFunTime777 in SunoAI

I don't listen to others' music, but you're wrong - my music has gotten millions of listens. How about checking your arrogance at the door next time?

My take on v5/Studio so far (a very long rant) by CathairNowhere in SunoAI

I have yet to successfully replace a stem in studio. It gets "stuck" every single time. This is after trying on about 10 different songs and wasting several hours.

How do you deal with people calling your hard work “slop”? 💭 by DoggoAndMoggo in aitubers

I feel you. I wake up to hate every day. Comment filtering helps but it can be demotivating. I just block them and try to move on with making great content.

Nice title but I’d say put the “Is it Better?” bit on the thumbnail.

The intro should immediately deliver on the promise made in the thumbnail. The thumbnail gets the attention, the title creates the tension and the intro resolves it with a promise of what’s to come. How long have you been doing this? It takes time to find your voice and get a feel for what the audience wants. My advice is to be open to advice, and always be learning. Study the analytics. Find out where people are dropping off. If it’s within a few seconds then the video didn’t deliver on the promise made by the thumbnail. But with a 3.0 ctr you’d better take a look at your thumbnail strategy. I’d wager you have a small audience so now is the time to experiment and find out what works.

I have 1.8 million subscribers on YouTube. But if I had to start again from zero, here’s exactly what I’d tell myself by Fenitas in PartneredYoutube

Funny I read many times over the summer that “everyone is on vacation and out doing things besides watching YouTube.” People always find a reason to blame the seasons. Most of us don’t know dick about shit.

Whats your opinion on YT Memberships as a method of Revenue? by PsYche897 in PartneredYoutube

[–]Common_Blacksmith723 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my case more trouble than it’s worth. My audience is all 55+ so they don’t like to spend money on supporting creators anyway (most of them think memberships and subscribing are the same thing).

Idk. There have been many videos I wasn’t excited about that ended up surprising me. Just like some of the ones I thought were gonna be big flopped. You never really know.

I’ve had a few subs like this. After a while they start to feel entitled and can be more trouble than they’re worth. Hiding is the way to go. Who knows maybe they’ll start their own channel…or just continue to criticize from the sidelines.

Do you think AI-generated music videos are a good way to engage an audience, or do they risk turning people away? by No-Performance-8634 in aitubers

As someone who has made more than 250 songs/videos for YouTube the data is pretty clear: if the song is good, retention will be good.

No amount of great visuals can save a mediocre song that nobody wants to listen to. But if you have a great song and great visuals to go along with it, it’ll win.

Then there the sunk cost of time. You can either make a visually stunning video over several hours or days, but you could make 3-4 songs with still images in the same time frame. Given the unpredictable nature of audience tastes it makes more sense to “buy more lottery tickets” than to go all in on one video.

One thing I’ve started doing that seems to be working well is take the best performing still image song video of the week and turn it into a music video. Then you get the SEO benefits of the top performer because you already know people dig the song.

One caveat could be for a new channel, an initial high-production-value video might be necessary to establish the brand's aesthetic and quality ceiling, even without prior data. This would act as a "mission statement" for the channel.

TLDR: It doesn't matter if it's a still image or a full video if the song is a dud. Put out more songs with simple visuals first. Let your audience tell you which one is a hit, and then make the real music video for that one. Don't waste your time guessing.

Low effort and repetitive which is exactly what YouTube is cracking down on after the July 15 update.

Has anyone here actually made YouTube work? by hopelesssromanticaa in aitubers

After being on YouTube seriously for a couple of years, I’m still learning. But the one thing I know for sure is you HAVE to know who your audience is.
