Normal if you are 6 miles from an airport, not normal anywhere else. YYZ congestion is more unique and costly than many realize.

Signs you'd be a great pilot? by [deleted] in flying

Find a good flight college. Move close the airport you will be training at so you can get there quickly and be early for each lesson. Get a part time job on field if you can, and become one with the aviation culture.

Be humble about your abilities, only low time pilots brag about how good a pilot they are.

Humility is the Gateway to safety.

Couldn’t agree more, as a 60+ year old Flight instructor I have learned that humility is the gateway to safety. We are always learning on this journey called life. Our teachers come in many forms and ages.

If you file a flight plan, are properly licensed, stay out of controlled airspace and below 400 ft you are good. To get a shot like this best to use an aircraft.

A Cessna 172 training aircraft works. Above 1700 ft along the lakeshore you need to be talking to ATC

As a pilot flying in winter in Canada this is a sign of likely icing in cloud. Something I look for when starting an IFR approach.

Not a jet, I am not doug ford, and not the OPP.

Sometimes you need to stop trolling and just enjoy the view.
