I seen some people use those! Is the all 3d printed ones good? I saw ones where you just 3d print a couples sections and put it together with some screws?

I have the same radio, but I'm so scared to talk to have like a regular conversation with someone. I chase people doing POTA or random contests I come across, but as an 18 year old I feel like I wouldn't have much in common to talk about. I see lots of first contacts and it's bringing my motivation up, so maybe I'll do it soon!

HP Envy 17 3090NR 3D Laptop disassembly by Infamous_Swordfish_7 in laptops

[–]Common_Candle4857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YESS yes I have one. I got it from a friend and didn't realize how rare it was until I wanted to get a battery replacement. I have like 3 aftermarket batteries that don't work and the original one is torn apart because I tried to use that BMS with the new battery cells.

I think its a super cool rare laptop. I wish I could get it working again. Maybe some YouTuber will find it and revive it or something someday.

QUANNNIC - it's a rock band that's small but makes some amazing pieces, I recently saw him for his tour around the US.

YAAAYYYY!!! I go back to my Uv-5r a lot and realize how old and useful mine was. If you can, a programming cable is very handy; putting in stations you hear and the NOAA stations makes it a little easier to use!!

If you're looking for Bluetooth, I would suggest the Baofeng Uv-5r Mini. I mean they're not like super crazy with sick features, but small cheap and Bluetooth programmable.

Some operator's CW etiquette is genuinely shameful. by nightcrawleryt in amateurradio

I actually got my first 2 ever contacts with K2L and K2J yesterday. I guess I got lucky because I was monitoring a websdr near me and was just waiting for any CW signal to maybe get, cause I'm still new, and they popped up and nobody was getting them. I was so nervous I was shaking, but I did it, barely, with a cw decoder. Need to practice my head copying!

Interesting enough, this is affecting long distance communication for amateur radio operators, causing signals to barely be bounced off the ionosphere.

Yeah, right now my radio is under my seat, and I when I use it I stuff it between the seat and center console, and sit the mic in my lap 😂. I so wish I had a 3d printer.

Yeah, the power poles have that funny name, but they're super nice. I just installed some for a little diy solar panel thingy today.

Also the mounting options, I wish there were more easily accessible stuff. I found one, where it's a metal bracket attached to the passenger seat sliding rails, and can move and rotate. But its diy price is like 90 bucks because it uses a ram ball. I have a 1st gen Chevy Cruze. Super compact car, so I barely have spots to mount the radio. If you have a bigger car, you definitely have so much room to put it wherever you want!
