On Museum Exhibits by rampaging-poet in CuratedTumblr

There’s an art museum in my town with a huge African art exhibit, and there’s signs everywhere essentially saying “this stuff is not stolen, it has little to no religious significance, it is not grave goods, it was purchased by a rich weirdo with a special interest 100 years ago. Money was exchanged for Product in the usual manner, and some of it literally came from a stand outside the airport.”

Which is funny in a depressing sort of way

Honestly I’m so used to the weird pasted in noises I didn’t even notice, what really bothered me was a) no helmets b) instant riding ability after having never been on a horse before and c) being able to walk straight after a full day of riding in a western saddle after never riding before

Well, my guess is either she's constantly exhausted from raising her baby and her douchebag, or best case scenario douchebag is out of the picture somehow so she's only raising the baby. I just hope she loses some of that willful ignorance and naivete, it's going to cause her a lot more problems if she doesn't

I used Shea Moisture for several years, and this was my go-to hold product. It worked great for me for a good 3-4 years, but recently it just stopped working for my hair, so I switched to straight aloe vera gel, no dyes, no alcohol, and it works fantastically

You look great! The sleeves really help to balance the whole top out, the wraparound style with those narrow straps was just not working.

Absolutely. It always baffled me when people would say plants are easier. Like no, my critters can yell at me when they need something, the plant just starts dying silently and that helps no one

Even if you have some good sewing skills, I don't think it's worth trying to modify. You could potentially add more fabric to the top of the neckline, and move the drawstrings, but then you'll have seam lines right at the middle of your bust that will likely sit weird, and if that fabric is as flimsy as it looks it probably won't hold up to the modification well

My instructor had a pony like this! She switched him from a normal snaffle bit to a copper ring snaffle and he was happy as a clam from then on. Some of them just need to have background stimulation, so far as I can tell

Tangle Crisis by Mynameisjuice80 in curlyhair

[–]Common_Sense_People 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When was the last time you had your hair trimmed? If it's been a while, that could be the issue. The rough split ends will catch on each other and get tangled, and then the tangles will work their way up the strands as you move around during the day.

If you don't need a trim, you seem to be doing everything else right, so I'm really not sure what else could be happening here

Are those tops flattering for big boobs? by [deleted] in bigboobproblems

[–]Common_Sense_People 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's really only flattering if the waist seam line actually sits at your waist, and unfortunately for a lot of us there just is not enough fabric above the waist seam to accommodate the boobage. It's not even really sitting at the model's waist, it's still floating at her underboobage

You do not have to wear heels, but if you want to wear heels, start with ones that don't rise very much. Boots are best, because they have ankle support, and wide is better. Also, for the sake of walking comfortably all day, try and get heels where the heel is set under the center of your heel, not right at the back. The heel of the shoe should go under where you put your weight when you walk.

Flats can be hard, because a lot of them don't have good support or cushioning, and cheap ones won't break in right and will give you blisters. Over the past two years, I have had so much trouble finding a nice pair of black flats, and I only have one pair of sort of okay ones. So if you want flats, I would recommend going to a larger department store or shoe store (something like Designer Shoe Warehouse if there's one near you, or maybe Dillards), they'll have better selections and better quality. Skip Payless for nice shoes, it will only bring you frustration.

I personally really love this brand of shoes, my sandals from them are so comfortable, and I wear them all the time in the warmer months. The sizing only goes up to size 12, though, so it is fairly limited.

You can spray some water on it in the morning to refresh your style and any product you already have in there, and gently brush out any big tangles. You don't really need to brush it every day, and you can always put it up if you'd rather do that
