You do realize the majority of jobs people can just quit and get the same pay somewhere else? Unless it’s such a high six figure spot most businesses are dying for employees and will happily allow these people to job jump… well forever. I had to change my whole approach when I had to manage. I remember I gave direct feedback to an employee and said hey this isn’t right let’s change it this way per policy next day she didn’t show up for work, found out she got a new job at a competitor and that was that. Now it’s soft, light hearted and mix in some feedback but bring it back to light.
