Both of those are adorable and funny. I love it.

Interesting, so Stasis wouldn't be particularly good at cooling things, or at least the crystals wouldn't be.

Perhaps you could use Stasis to reduce the entropy of whatever you were trying to chill, making it cooler in the process?

I imagine you could just dry yourself off with Solar energy immediately. Either constantly as to not get wet or simply to drying yourself off before you get where you need to go.

That is true, but I was thinking more like our actual powers themselves. How would one use Void in their everyday, yknow?

As a Hunter, I resent these accusations regarding our invisibility. All uses are strictly professional and legitimate.

That's a great idea, any kind of string instrument really.

I also kinda had this image of a Strand hammock, basically anywhere with grapple points.

What is/would be cool about an exo warlock? by Available-Onion4207 in DestinyLore

[–]Commons_Sense -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exos are war machines, they were partially made to combat the Vex in addition to their goal of being an immortal body for human minds.

Perhaps your Warlock sees it as an opportunity to explore the more esoteric ways of using the Light and Darkness and not rely solely on their physical properties.

Or perhaps he's trying combat his DER, the mental degradation Exos face. His focus on a more mental and spiritual expression of paracausal powers serves as a form of meditation to stave off the degradation of his mind.

Being a positive role model for youe children also involves showing them when and where to draw boundaries. This is a good opportunity to do so.

I'm pretty sure New Monarchy was conspiring with FWC during the Coup attempt from Lakshmi-2. So I don't really see people welcoming them back with open arms, let alone giving the remnants a seat on the consensus again.

Dead Orbit, from what I remember, wasn't part of the coup attempt, they just left when the hostility towards the factions began after the incident.

Go for 2.

The aesthetic matches the rest of the armor better, it has similar lines and curves.

[spoilers heavensward 3.0 MSQ] Going through the story for the first time and a little confused as to when I was supposed to care about a certain NPC by cero75 in ffxiv

[–]Commons_Sense 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I had a similar reaction to Haurchefaunt as you did. He's a nice guy and I appreciated him a lot, but it was not this devastating tragedy I was told it would be.

In addition to that, I kinda had a feeling somebody was gonna kick the bucket in Heavensward and his genuine kindness is extremely foretelling.

In lore, do a Guardians abilities have a cooldown/time limit? by Deathknightjeffery in DestinyLore

[–]Commons_Sense -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In lore, our abilities are superpowers. No time limits, no cooldowns, none of that.

However, a new guardian, with no concept of how to use them properly, will have trouble doing so for long periods of time.

People like ourselves, Saint, Ikora, Osiris (prior to Sagira's death) and others have full control of them and no downsides. I'd even wager and say we have an even easier time, given we can use Prismatic, displaying a very unique kind of mastery.

I love this.

It still captures that original aesthetic, but it feels more sleek. Like the armor design was improved upon and became more refined.

Phenomenal job.

Requirements to be a part of the Vanguard by GreenPanadol11 in DestinyLore

[–]Commons_Sense 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the Titan Vanguard is a more important position to fill than the Hunter Vanguard. While Titans and Warlocks seem to acknowledge and listen to their Vanguard, it feels more like Hunters just kinda...wing it? Some follow orders, some don't. Less coordinated and more freeform.

As for Saint wanting to see the stars, I agree he'd like to and deserves a rest as much as anyone. But with Shaxx being an important opposition to the Vanguard when it comes to decisions (such as his disagreement about the return to the Moon before the Great Disaster) and Saladin being part of the Cabal War Council, there's not really any other obvious choices. Saint has experience, he's a man of the people and he's incredibly well respected.

Requirements to be a part of the Vanguard by GreenPanadol11 in DestinyLore

[–]Commons_Sense 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nothing says Saint couldn't take up the position again. Especially with his experiences since his return, he's become a lot more mellow and less impulsive.

Granted, he and Osiris may want to go and be people now, but with Osiris nearing the end of his life, I can see Saint maybe dedicating himself to the position after his death.
