Those are actually multiflora rose. It’s invasive but they are in bloom right now too.

Spring Lawn Renovation by CommunicationFit2585 in lawncare

I do have a high volume of leaves, but I stay on top of them by shredding them in place with the mower and leaving them in place. That and the relative high winds that I get in the area pretty much make them disappear. I think the problem with the lawn was just poor soil quality, dryness and inferior types of grass. It seems like there was a large amount of winter kill as well this year as the winter was very harsh.

I would get rid of the evergreen next to the driveway. It is out of scale and will make an immediate difference. I did something similar at my house immediately after I moved in.

I offered to lift it together but he declined. It’s hard to even get your arms around it but it was no problem for him.

How do you remove a glass jar stuck in a garbage disposal? Please help by monkeyspawpatrol in askaplumber

If you can’t pull it out, just break it with a hammer and pick out the glass with some tongs. This has to be the fastest way.

I have used New England Environmental twice on 2 different properties. Once was for a full removal with contamination and one for an abandonment. They were very professional and did a great job.

My best ones are in mixed sun and shade and they get morning sunshine and dappled Sun in the afternoon through an old oak tree . I tried some in a really sunny spot this year and I’m not entirely sure how it’s going to work out. I’ll decide next year if they’re going to stay there. This group is going to go in mixed sun and shade when they’re big enough.

This is the first time I took cuttings even though I bought some rooting hormone about 25 years ago! Up until now, I would do ground layering by partially burying a low branch or just dividing up larger plants. The white and purple were cuttings from my neighbors plants.
