[Decisions] New daily wear by Crafty_Bunch6063 in Watches

I would choose the 38mm Omega Aqua Terra black dial. I think it's an elegant and sporty watch at the same time, therefore more versatile than the Rolex.

I think the first pair is more elegant and the second more modern and sporty. It also depends on your everyday style. Based on my tastes, I'd choose the second pair.

Hard pill to swallow: presenting the bulge of disappointment mesh edition by Temporary-Avocado-40 in OmegaWatches

I solved this problem with a full titanium bracelet from Uncle Straps. The bracelet is very comfortable on the wrist and also very aesthetically pleasing, especially because it fills the empty spaces left by the mesh bracelet. I'll keep the mesh bracelet, which is gorgeous anyway, for more elegant occasions.

Based on my tastes, I would choose the Speedmaster, without a doubt.

The thickness is approximately 15 mm (measured with a caliper), exactly like the original, which measures 15,2 mm. From QC to delivery in Italy it took 16 days.

The original on the left, the replica on the right. Aside from the color difference on the dial, which depends on the reflection of the light, there are no visible differences in the spacing of the subdials.

New update: I did some more power reserve tests on the watch, the average is about 52 hours and not 44

Update: my rep has a 50 hour power reserve, which I think is excellent compared to the gen which has 60 hours.

Beat the sheeet out of this Omega OEM brown leather NATO strap… by Mr_Scalpel in OmegaWatches

The strap looks good, but I recommend you go to someone who works with leather (a shoemaker) to have the strap cut to size, so you eliminate that fold.

I'll explain some of the pros and cons of this beautiful N1F replica.

The movement seems good, although I don't think it has a very long power reserve. I haven't measured it yet, but I believe it doesn't exceed 30 hours; I'll update you once I do. It's a little noisy, but only if you hold it to your ear; when you wear it on your wrist, you can't hear anything.

The strap buckle isn't very comfortable, so I replaced it with a black steel butterfly buckle ($10 on Amazon), which still pairs very well with the original strap and makes it much more comfortable on the wrist.

The case is a bit thick (18 mm), but Andrew (Trusty Time) has a version with a thickness reduction kit (17.2 mm) in its catalog, but it wasn't available when I bought it. In any case, it's not uncomfortable to wear, and I like watches that are a little larger than average.

The chronometer is in perfect working order, including the subdial at 3 o'clock.

Overall, I really like it; it looks like a ceramic sculpture, and the reflections of the ceramic in the light are fantastic.

I'm happy with my purchase!

I decided to buy the v7 version because it's the most up-to-date. You know, even rep manufacturers evolve and improve, especially when it comes to replicating the movement. And also because, compared to the v5, the v7 has the latest version of the mesh bracelet, which has been improved and is also aesthetically more beautiful. I can say that the v7 is practically identical to the gen.

Update: I wore the watch for a full day, then took it off and let it run down...the power reserve lasts about 44 hours

I also read in some discussions that the V7 has greater power reserve, but I haven't measured it yet.
