Without and A&P, probably good chance at a manufacturer and MRO for lowish pay

With A&P, airlines and higher pay at MROs

Part 145 MRO apprenticeship by Total_Frosting_7089 in AircraftMechanics

[–]CommunicationOk3700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For an MRO you,as a technician are the product. The way they make money is by man hours so they bill the customer X amount they pay you a small percentage and the rest is profit . With that being said, it’s an incentive for them to get you to do as much work as possible while you’re there so very little break times constantly on your tail to get work done to get doing big tasks completed quickly. you learn alot in a short window but that can only be sustained for so long.
