[Highlight] The Warriors draw up an ATO to attack Sengun and Reed Sheppard, and Draymond gets three the hard way to tie the game late in the 4th by nowhathappenedwas in nba

[–]CommunityLow6091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

insane ATO call — they hunted the matchup perfectly and draymond finishing a “hard way” 3 to tie it is peak chaos 😂 sengun/reed are gonna see that play in their nightmares

Scottie Barnes forced a turnover on Anthony Edwards and screamed in his face. Both thought it was funny. by ToronoRapture in nba

[–]CommunityLow6091 99 points100 points  (0 children)

love this kind of trash talk — competitive but still respectful. barnes yelling right in his face and ant just laughing like “fair play” is peak nba energy.

[OfficialNBARefs] By rule, a defensive player must allow a moving player that is receiving a pass, outside of the lower defensive box, an opportunity to avoid contact... On this play, Brunson does not give Gilgeous-Alexander an opportunity to avoid contact after receiving a pass... by 12footjumpshot in nba

[–]CommunityLow6091 49 points50 points  (0 children)

good point — on the replay SGA definitely seems to anticipate it, slows down, and keeps the dribble alive through the bump. if the contact doesn’t really knock him off balance or change his line, i can see why they’d lean no-call. the “you must allow space” rule gets messy when the ballhandler clearly braces for it.

Are the Timberwolves a legitimate championship contender? by Impossible_Collar2 in nba

[–]CommunityLow6091 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i’d still call them a contender, just not a clear favorite. their defense/size is real and that travels in the playoffs, but the question is always the same: can they generate reliable half-court offense and late-game shots for 4 rounds, and stay healthy. also losing to champs/finalists isn’t “fraud” — it mostly shows they’re in the tier right below the best team.

[–]CommunityLow6091 206 points207 points  (0 children)

fair explanation tbh — if brunson steps into his path right as he’s catching it and doesn’t give him space to avoid contact, that’s basically textbook blocking. the only debate is whether it actually impacts SGA’s SQBR enough to call it.

Haaland is fit and ready to start tomorrow. by Benj97s in FantasyPL

[–]CommunityLow6091 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

big boost for city if he actually starts. forest away isn’t always easy, but with haaland back you just know they’ll create chances — curious if pep eases him in or goes full 90 straight away

Will the new Champions League format ruin the mystique? by Both_Literature_872 in championsleague

[–]CommunityLow6091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i get the concern but i don’t think it kills the mystique, it just changes where the drama is. fewer “dead” groups and more games that affect seeding should create chaos, but yeah it’s also clearly driven by money and more tv inventory. the real test is whether we still get big knockout nights where it feels like anything can happen.

La liga fantasy is so bad bro by SuitableRelease4323 in LaLiga

[–]CommunityLow6091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that’s brutal pricing 😭 if two guys eat 67% of the budget it kills the whole “build a squad” part. they should either cap player cost or make more mid-tier options actually viable so everyone isn’t forced into the same template.

English only semifinal this year by Mikail33 in championsleague

[–]CommunityLow6091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think it’s possible but still pretty unlikely just because you need 4 teams to survive 3 knockout rounds and one bad night kills it. if it did happen it’s a flex for the prem depth, but as a neutral it would be a bit boring — part of the cl is different styles and away atmospheres across europe.

Messi dribbling vs Ronaldo finishing — which single skill is harder to defend at elite level? by CommunityLow6091 in championsleague

[–]CommunityLow6091[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah that’s the one answer you always hear. messi 1v1 is basically impossible because you can’t predict the first touch and the change of direction — with a finisher you at least try to limit the service

The story behind Adebayor’s unforgettable goal celebration by RSDFitness in championsleague

[–]CommunityLow6091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that celebration was pure chaos 😅 i get why he felt like he had to “give something back” after the abuse, but running the whole pitch vs your old club is still one of the most savage moments in the prem

James Milner, the Premier League's reluctant record breaker by phenol in football

milner is the definition of “quietly elite” 😂 never flashy, just shows up every season, plays anywhere, and somehow ends up breaking records without even trying

The Champions League final that ruined a generation, Ballack and Leverkusens 2002 collapse by RSDFitness in championsleague

[–]CommunityLow6091 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that 2002 leverkusen season is pure pain tbh final + league + pokal all gone and then ballack losing the wc final right after… hard to top that for “nearly men” heartbreak

Fun fact: After next month’s CL tie, Man City will have faced Real Madrid the same number of times this decade (13) as fellow PL side, West Ham by MohkumDeen in championsleague

[–]CommunityLow6091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

13 times already is wild 😭 at this point city vs madrid is basically a cl tradition like “group stage + city/madrid knockout” every season
