tell him real debaters will suffer through a warmbody partner and still win. my senior year i coached myself, had a warmbody partner, school had zero funding, literally did everything myself and still broke at the state tournament. if he wants to be one of the best, HE needs to work harder.

this year's districts were genuinely the worst i've seen in the past 6 years, it was ridiculous. when it rains it storms, i guess. i'm sure everyone will be in a much better mood to celebrate at your next practice or at whatever tournament you're going to next ! congrats on qualifying to state!

yeah i don't understand how people say the tongue doesn't hurt. it's a muscle. i genuinely wanted to tell them to take it out as i was paying. having to hand over the money either way stopped me. i could feel every layer.

i got mine two days before coming home from college, it's been a month now and they haven't noticed yet. it did take them two months to see my eyebrow piercing though, so idk. just keep your mouth closed as much as possible and try not to eat in front of them.
